Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] USB Hard Drive Limitations
@Apesbrain Thanks for the link and for the explanation. I did a little more reading and it goes along the lines of what you are saying in regards to the USB directly connected to the touch not being as feature rich as using LMS. xxmodded's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68953 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110184 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] USB Hard Drive Limitations
Are you thinking about running a hard drive directly into your Touch? If so, don't do it. It's a recipe for disappointment. Run Logitech Media Server on a proper PC with as big a hard drive as you need. The Touch (wired or wireless) becomes a streamer for LMS which is the way it works best. [SlimDevices: Touch] USB Hard Drive Limitations
I have read and saw that a USB drive should be powered unless it is a flash drive. An SD card has a 32gb limitation. Is there any other limitation for a Powered USB Drive in regards to size or just the 10,000 track limitation? xxmodded's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=68953 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110184 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

The kernel on the touch is to old or the needed modules are not included. But no problem, SP/Dif is also OK for my needs.
