Great work. I'm keen to try this with my AV Reviever's coaxial digital input which has 'Burr-Brown 192 kHz/24-Bit DACs (PCM1690)'. I want to compare that to the line out from the DAC in the touch. Is it likely to be better? I think I read here that this app disables line out so A/B comparison might not be possible. It would be great if Logitech built this function into the main firmware. I'm keen to try my touch in this Async USB mode with a good DAC if that will beat much more expensive streamers. Looking forward to that! The DM100 is one I have been considering. Is the DM100 essentially the same as the Dacmagic plus but without so many input and outputs and without the preamp? I need none of those extras. The DM+ has been well reviewed so if the 100 sounds the same that is great for such a low price. Does it sound much better than the line out of the SB touch? Also what did you need to do with the DM100 to make it work with the Async USB. Did you just plug it in and it worked? I decided just to get a replacement duet as we like the controller. I was wondering does Vortexboc rip FLAC from CD as accurately as EAC? On the vortexbox site it says 'You should use a good IDE or SATA CD or DVD burner. Burners have better laser positioning and you will get better quality rips.'. EAC claims to make perfect rips regardless of the drive using error correction. Also, what sort of USB soundcard and DAC would be needed to make a vortexbox or other PC sound as good as a squeezebox touch?
