Not too long - guessing a few hours at most. I've got the same issue with certain files crashing the Touch and it going into an endless reboot cycle - the only way I can stop it is to power down the Touch (and thus stop the track from being played by LMS. Nothing strange in the tags and the files are 16/44.1 - one is a audio track rip from a video clip and the other is a redbook CD rip using dbpoweramp. audiomuze's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33613 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96777 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

[SlimDevices: Touch] Turn off/power down touchscreen
I don't make any use of the Touch's touchscreen for visual or control purposes so was wondering wehether there is a way to turn it off (as opposed to just dimming it, which is what the software setting to Off does). My reasons are not related to audio, but rather to the fact that I'd like to keep the Touch plugged in 24/7 (albeit in off mode when not in use). I've noticed that the software setting simply causes the screen to go blank and dim, but in a dark room it's clearly not off and is thus annoying when watching TV etc. audiomuze's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33613 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95962 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Announce: Enhanced Digital Output app - USB Dac and 192k Digital Ouput
Quick question if I may - I've installed the plugin and selected digital out (running coax from Touch to PS Audio Digital Link III) - played a 24/192 file and the file plays on the dace but is only seen as 24/96 - does one need to change SOX settings to ensure that 24/192 is passed through the Touch unmodified? audiomuze's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33613 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Can you confirm this is what you did? BTW... My impression when playing back such a file through the DLIII is that you should select the 192Khz upsampling option on the DAC. Otherwise it will downsample to 96 (the other setting) which is counterproductive to the original intent. HTH Jim My entire library is FLAC encoded and I've never played with the SOX settings in SBS so I presume that FLAC is natively decoded on the Touch. However, as LMSpresumably knows the Touch doesn't by default do more than 24/192, I was wondering whether SOX would be invoked and the file downsampled and passed through the Touch as 24/96. Also, if the PSA detects a 24/192 incoming stream shouldn't it automatically select 24/192 as its sampling scheme? I've not checked the manual but was under the impression the 24/96 and 24/192 buttons on the DAC are its upsampling options, not downsampling - I'd best download and read thje manual. audiomuze's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33613 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] USB disc support for other file systems ?
I fail to see how Logitech could be held responsible for a user yanking their USB connected drive and losing data as a result - it's user error, as simple as that. Will Logitech also be liable if there's a power failure during a write operation resulting in a trashed drive...using the logic of earlier posts surely Logitech would be liable on grounds they didn't instruct the customer to install lightning protection and/ or a UPS. Honestly, if this were the case Microsoft would have been broke by now just through the amount of drive trashing they've been responsible for in the USB domain through Windows Delayed Write Failure issues, let alone idiot users yanking a device without flushing the write buffers. -- audiomuze audiomuze's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33613 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=67523 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
