I prefer the touch sound signature to some dacs costing 10 times the going $200 ish USA used SBT price. What dac chip is in the SBT? I realize that it comes down to implementation but I am curious what current production dacs have the touch tone. A dac that has the sound of what the SBT might have evolved to if it wasn't discontinued. MQA whatever it's merits is being marketed to the hilt. There are MQA licensing fee agreements with legal protections that might discourage a benevolent guru from implementing and distributing a work around. If the market is there Tidal will enable decoding for it's apps. Ever since I've had ickStream/tidal for my SBT I've accessed it with iPad->My Apps->ickStream ->Tidal. For last few days no love. I've installed and reinstalled multiple times,cursed, yelled, cried, and still any search comes up "no content available." This morning trying random everything I selected the Tidal app from the iPad and amazingly have great Tidal sound from my SBT without using ickStream. Previously just using the Tidal app worked only for the iPad speakers and not for the SBT to my main stereo. After a long night upgrading from Mavericks to Yosemite 10.10.2 the LMS 7.9 server will not start. Hit start, 4 seconds later the server is stopped. Any simplistic fix?
