You need to add this url to the Additional Repositories section of the LMS->Settings->Plugins tab. Code: http://ralph.irving.sdf.org/extensions/touchvu.xml The Blue Glow VU meters are also available from the same repository. 35999 Restart LMS and then the VU meters should be available from the Patch Applet Installer on the Touch. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] EDO updates and kernel etc
There is no development happening for EDO, I only keep the applet and kernel installer working with what Triode, the author, completed. We were able to extract some of the missing test kernels from touch devices that a few forum members have. See 'this post' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?94512-Announce-Enhanced-Digital-Output-app-USB-Dac-and-192k-Digital-Ouput=877059=1#post877059) for details. The missing kernel list is a bit outdated as we have test kernel#7 now available but the rest are still missing. If you're using one of the kernel we already have then you can update your firmware and reinstall EDO. If you're using one the missing, then please follow the steps in the post and provide the dumps. I'll can use a md5 checksum to determine which one if you don't remember. So, here are the steps to extract the current edo test kernel running on your touch. Login to the touch as root with ssh from a unix machine or putty on windows. You will need to enable ssh in the Settings->Advanced->Remote login->Enable SSH menu, if you have not already enabled it. ssh -l root touch.ip.add.ress default password is 1234 Make sure touch is running edo kernel. # *uname -a* Linux SqueezeboxTouch 2.6.26.8-rt16-332-g5849bfa #1[usb] PREEMPT RT Sun Apr 1 23:12:00 BST 2012 armv6l GNU/Linux Provide the output from uname -a along with the kernel image file. # *uname -a > /tmp/kernel-usb.uname* Also, provide the kernel description you installed originally, if you remember, so I can use that for the description in the edo kernel menu. Extract the edo kernel from flash. File includes the entire 2MB mtd partition, not just the kernel zImage file. # *dd if=/dev/mtdblock:kernel > /tmp/kernel-usb.img* Use scp from the touch or winscp from another computer to copy both files /tmp/kernel-usb.uname and /tmp/kernel-usb.img from the touch. # *scp -p /tmp/kernel-usb.uname user@hostname:/tmp* # *scp -p /tmp/kernel-usb.img user@hostname:/tmp* Add both files to a zip and provide a download link to it. I should be able to recreate a kernel bin file from the zip and add it to the kernel updater menu. I have successfully recreated the default kernel bin, test #11 and #12 packages. Hopefully it's the same for the missing ones. I'll note these are untested until a brave user has tried them and confirms it worked. If it fails, you will likely need to factory reset your touch to recover from the failure. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Announce: Enhanced Digital Output app - USB Dac and 192k Digital Ouput
I've managed to find most of the Enhanced Digital Output (EDO) and Setup Kernel Updater (SKU) applet components and created a repository for them. I've updated the EDO version to 0.9 and the SKU to 0.2 to differentiate them from the original. The only change I've made is to the URLs for the kernel and xml files. Add this URL to Settings->Plugins->Additional Repositories in the LMS web gui. Code: http://ralph_irving.users.sourceforge.net/edo/edo-repo.xml on the Touch go to Settings->Advanced->Applet Installer, unselect "Recommended Applets Only" and two new applets should appear in the list: Kernel Updater and Enhanced Digital Output - install them one at a time (touch will reboot each time you install one). You only need to install the Kernel Updater if you need to use one of the test kernels. I was unable to find the following 5 custom test kernels from Triode's original install. If anyone has these bin files and is willing to share them, I'll add them to the Kernel Updater menu. Code: http://xdevtriodeplugins.xpdev-hosted.com/*kernel-test7.bin* http://xdevtriodeplugins.xpdev-hosted.com/*kernel-test8.bin* http://xdevtriodeplugins.xpdev-hosted.com/*kernel-test9.bin* http://xdevtriodeplugins.xpdev-hosted.com/*kernel-test10.bin* http://xdevtriodeplugins.xpdev-hosted.com/*kernel-test13.bin* I included Triode's DisplayOff v0.1 screensaver for the touch in the repo as well. The alac decoder implementation is from a very old version of ffmpeg and doesn't handle the newer alac files very well. My osx build of Triode's squeezelite player plays the mono file in both channels on my 10.6.8 mac mini. You could replace squeezeplay with it and my jivelite build for osx.
