Marantz, NAD, Cambridge Audio, and Bryston all offer network players now--so let the chips fall where they may. I almost bought the Cambridge, but decided to "test the waters" at a lower cost, via Touch. I'm running thru a Benchmark DAC/PRE and very satisified with the results so far. [SlimDevices: Touch] Finally picked up a touch
Still ripping CD's to flac, but got the Touch up and running this morning; albeit with a bit of a firewall issue. I'm streaming wireless, with the Touch connected via DH Labs coax to my Benchmark DAC/PRE. Haven't had a chance to do any critical listening, but did spin some David benoit this morning while getting ready for work--initial impressions are good. The Touch will replace my long time CEC transport for CD duty. People had the same "irratations" about the Oppo BluRay player. I was invited to be a beta tester for that piece, but turned the opportunity down. Many claimed they were so frustrated with no launch date, that they would buy something else. I doubt seriously many of them did. Oppo wanted to make sure the product lived up to the hype, and they were successful. I'm sure that is Logitech's goal as well.
