Yes I remember following the progress on this problem; but did the correction make it to 7.5.4 or was it late with a couple of days... or maybe it was another correction that missed the 7.5.4... well it is fixed in 7.6.0 that we know -- slate Main: Receiver (Audiocom) -> Beresford Caiman+ (Gatorized) -> Carver A-500x -> B&W 704 Office: Receiver -> Luxman L-210 -> Stax SR84 Pro/Superlux HD668B Server: Zotac IONITX-A, 4 GB, 1 TB WD EADS, Win7 w. 7.6 (SQLite w. well I supose this is some safety margin, some user somewhere will have the maximum amount off apps installed and use the Tiny server at the same time and use screensavers. wonder what happens if you load a 500 song spotify pl at a standalone Touch and use the frequency graph screensaver -- Mnyb Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] 100 song max in playlist using Tiny SBS??
Thank you for the suggestions guys. I think I will leave well enough alone and keep the playlist at 100 on the Touch Tiny SBS. Heck just sitting for 100 songs at one time is a lot, I cant see sitting that long for 500 anyway! Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] 100 song max in playlist using Tiny SBS??
Maybe with 7.6 fw after they found the dB optimisation bug performance with playlist is much better. But it is still not good. A good idea can be to disable unecessary stuff on the touch to free performance and memory. if you are not using wifi you can comment out this in the startup scripts, turning of loggin and samba ? -- Mnyb Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] 100 song max in playlist using Tiny SBS??
I would be careful. I believe you will not be too happy with a 500-track playlist on TinySBS. I would try to get the Dynamic Playlists plugin installed on the touch and then use that to play the larger playlist, it only moves 20 or so tracks at a time to the current playlist. -- pippin --- see iPeng, the Squeezebox iPhone remote and *New: iPeng for iPad*, at penguinlovesmusic.com pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88073 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

The file is /etc/squeezecenter/prefs/server.prefs and the setting is maxPlaylistLength Drag our your vi editor skills, or ssh into the Touch using a tool like WinSCP. My previous warning (and JJ's) about increasing this setting above 100 still apply. -- aubuti aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88073 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] 100 song max in playlist using Tiny SBS??
maxPlaylistLength: 100 as i never runned my Tiny Server I dont have a server.prefs on my Touch so exactly where it is I can not say. /etc/squeezecenter/prefs is an empty dir on my Touch ? some things like the dB is stored on a dir on the USB drive itself. But linux has the find command, that should help. # find / -name server.prefs Edit the file with the onborad vi editor, note google up a reference on vi commands to have at hand. the vi editor is nonintuitive -- Mnyb Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH 2 x MeridianDSP5200 MeridianDSP5200HC 2 xMeridianDSP3100 +Rel Stadium 3 sub. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] 100 song max in playlist using Tiny SBS??
You don't have to hack any code, it's just a setting in the server.prefs configuration file. This has been discussed before in the forums, so try a search. Enable SSH on the Touch, remote into it, edit the file, reboot. The Touch is so anemic and memory is so tight, though, that you could easily crash it by loading up a very large playlist. That's why they made the limit so low. -- JJZolx JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88073 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] 100 song max in playlist using Tiny SBS??
Yes, TinySBS has a max playlist size of 100 tracks. Unlike regular SBS there is no way to alter this on TinySBS. Well, maybe you could hack the code in TinySBS. But the 100 track limit was put in place for performance reasons, so even if you hacked it you might not like the results. -- aubuti aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88073 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
[SlimDevices: Touch] 100 song max in playlist using Tiny SBS??
I just put on my HD, Rolling Stones 500 best songs in FLAC. Went to play it on my touch and it said it was only able to load 100 songs into the playlist. I am using the built-in server on the touch with a USB HD attached ( 120 gb). Is this limitaion because of the Tiny SBS? Any way around it?? I looked in the settings/advance section but I was not able to see any way to change this. Just curious if one can.
