This works for me using LMS on a Win 8 dedicated music server. Also worked on the in TOUCH built server but much slower. \music\artist1\album1 of artist1\associated MP3s \music\artist1\album2 of artist1\associated MP3s \music\artist2\album1 of artist 2\ etc etc. It also makes backing up and copying to an MP3 disk in my car easy. Very few of my MP3s have ID tags as I started this process back in 1998 converting ripped wavs from my CDs to MP3s on a near manual basis. I agree, but even in accessing music folder you should be able to see all the album subfolders. I just checked and I have some artists with 25 album subfolders and I can see them all when browsing music folder within LMS to the Artist upper directory. I suspect something with your browser not showing you the fill screen or something. What you are trying to do should work. *Location 1:* VortexBox Appliance 4TB (2.2) > LMS 7.7.2 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet) *Location 2:* VBA 3TB (2.2) > LMS 7.7.2 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win7(64) > LMS 7.8 > SqueezePlay *Spares:* VBA 4TB, SB3, Touch (3), Radio (3), CONTROLLER *Controllers:* iPhone4S (iPeng), iPad2 (iPengHD & SqueezePad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.7 on Win7(64) laptop Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Tagging - mp3tag, Spotify garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99187 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

I think that should work, but why wouldn't you organize them in the more conventional: artist ../album1 ../album2 ../album3 Glen Gould ../Glen Gould Plays Bach ../Glen Gould Plays More Bach ? [SlimDevices: Touch] Music Directory Problems
I have an extensive Music Directory, and I like to file my music this way: Folder is Album Name/then Album contents. When I have a number of albums by particular artists I file as follows: Folder -->Glen Gould -->Gould Plays Bach; --> Gould plays more Bach, etc. These are individual albums nested under the name of the Artist (in this case). LMS does not appear to pick up on all of these albums and often it will display only one or two. Is it necessary to return to the old way and have each individual album as in my first example?
