Thanks for the heads up, the way I have been using it is that all my music is ripped and stored on my windows PC, it has been working brilliant this way, I don't think that I will want to loose this functionality. Will the Youtube plugin work without having to update to the community firmware? Hi, new member here, I have the Squeezebox Touch since launch, been using it on and off, today I have updated the LMS to version 8.2.0 the to the beta 8.2.1, I have also updated the firmware to 7.8.0 r16754, I am trying to update the firmware to the community version but I can not find the advance settings the option to select the community firmware, not sure how to update any third party pluggins either. Do I need to update to the community firmware to be able to use the Youtube pluggin, also I have found that updating LMS from 8.2.0 to 8.2.1 has reduced my WIFI from 56% signal strenght to 43%. Lol, I don't mind doing the neccessary. I have also read somewhere here that if you want to install LMS, you should first delete the old mysqueezebox. That is not true? Just looking for workable procedures to follow, from A to Z. I want the Touch for 3 things only, Tidal, Pandora, local internet radio. At the moment, Tidal loads but does not play, the others work perfectly. 1. Download and install LMS 2. Reboot computer to confirm LMS starts. I'm not familiar with the macOS version of LMS and you may need to enable "auto-start at boot" in some way. Just so you're up to date, I'd suggest installing the current LMS beta: http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/index.php?ver=8.2 Then, go into LMS Settings > Plugins and enable the "Community Firmware for Touch/Radio/Controller" and "Material Skin" plugins. This will prompt a server restart. It may take a day or so, but your Touch should eventually prompt you to install the newest firmware. Open a browser on your iPhone and go to http://[your.LMS.server.IP]:9000/material to manage playback. I'm not a user of TIDAL, but it might require the EDO applet if you are trying to play files above 24/96; in any case, it won't hurt anything to install it: [TOUCH] Settings > Advanced > Applet Installer > (at the bottom enable "Reinstall after Firmware Update") > Enhanced Digital Output Appreciate your offer to ASR. What version of LMS are you running? The are new community built firmwares available for the Controller, Radio and Touch but these may only be available via the beta LMSs. Ive never felt the desire to instal Triodes EDO applet but if you want to enable digital over USB its probably worth doing. I do not believe that theres any sonic advantages in ever increasing sample rates as all it does is extend the frequency response even further beyond what us humans can hear! It will be interesting to see what Amir has to say about the Touch.
