The kernel on the touch is to old or the needed modules are not included. But no problem, SP/Dif is also OK for my needs. Hi Christian With the EDO installed, go to Code: Settings > Audio Settings >Digital Output > Digital Only Connect the spdif via the co-ax to utilse the higher bit rate Check that the Fixed Volume is set to 100% I looked for info on the web about Linux and the DAC 40 and found a very good site, you may already be familiar with it, lol.:) https://www.schoeppi.net/2015/05/08/accuphase-dac-40-unter-linux-nutzen/ All the best, Ronnie Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110180 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Touch does not connect to my DAC
Touch SPDIF and analog outs are always both active unless you've disabled one using EDO. Why not uninstall EDO and use SPDIF? Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Touch does not connect to my DAC
But can I really switch the inputs via the menues of the Touch only? How can I switch from RCA to RCA digital or sp/dif? Is this not possible in the settings of the player or the webinterface of my local LMS? Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Touch does not connect to my DAC
I've installed the EDO plugin via the supported way and the menues of the Touch with sighted help now, but the DAC is still not found, Its the DAC-40 from Accuphase. It has also RCA digital and a optical input, so I can also use this and there is no need for USB, just wanted to try But I think the kernel is to old or has not the needed modules compiled in... Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Touch does not connect to my DAC
Did you check the spreadsheet on EDO thread post #1 (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?94512-Announce-Enhanced-Digital-Output-app-USB-Dac-and-192k-Digital-Ouput&p=699737&viewfull=1#post699737 ) for your DAC - for many DACs it gives hints about whether hubs, kernel etc may be needed. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110180 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

If not, and for example has S/PDIF or Optical, I'd recommend using one of these connections over trying to use EDO. *Home:* VBA 4TB (2.4)>LMS 7.9.1>Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (all ethernet) *Cottage:* VBA 3TB (2.4)>LMS 7.9.1>Touch>Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (ethernet, Radio WIFI) *Office:* Win10(64)>LMS 7.9.2>Squeezelite *The Wild (no internet): *PiCorePlayer 4.0 on rPi 3B+, hifiberry Dac+Pro, 4TB USB (LMS & Squeezelite) *Controllers:* iPhone6 & iPadAir2 (iPeng), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win10(64) laptop *Files:* ripping: dbpa > FLAC; post-rip: mp3tag, PerfectTunes; Streaming: Spotify garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110180 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Touch does not connect to my DAC
When you reboot the Touch (press button on left back above power port), you will see a startup message about EDO being loaded. It is in the upper left of the screen and maybe you can see it flash by if not totally blind. Not sure why you went the route you did with installing EDO. The "normal" way to do it is via the Touch screen: Settings > Advanced > Applet Installer > Enhanced Digital Output > Install 0.10 => You may need to disable "Recommended Applets Only". Touch without EDO will do up to 24/96. You need more than that? What DAC are you using and how are they connected?
