Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Touch reads wrong Time from the Server

2010-05-07 Thread Kyruss

Thanke You for the Tip with the Router.

But unfortunately this is not the solution for my problem.

What I figured out is, if I install a SBS on my 'normal' Desktop PC,
the time problem is gone. The Booms ans teh Touch get the correct
time.

If I connect dem to my WHS, the Booms get the correct time, the Touch
dosn't.

So it looks to me, like the Touch is having a Problem with the WHS.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the SBS at the WHS did not make any
diference.

Booms ok, Touch not.

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Touch reads wrong Time from the Server

The Boom has a built in real-time clock, so if something is wrong with
the time settings on your WHS, it may not affect the Boom in the same
way as the Touch.

If you launch the WHS Console and go to settings/general/date and time,
what settings do you have for both TimeZone (I think you said +1
previously?) and Internet Time? I wonder is this could be related to
whichever NTP server you are using for the WHS.

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Touch reads wrong Time from the Server

2010-05-06 Thread Kyruss

Hello,

the TimeZone on the Box is set to GMT +1 and so it is also at
mysqueezebox.com.
The Tiem hat the WHS is also correct, and the other Boxes are also set
to GMT+1 and sync correctly with the Server.

I also deleted the Touch at my squeezebox.com and made a FactoryReset.

After setting it up and registering it at mysqueezebox.com the time was
ok.
Till i connectet it to my WHS / the squeezeserver, then *ps* time
-15h as before.

If I do this with a Boom, the Time stays correct.

I really don't get it.

And what about on the Touch itself - i.e. (Settings/Advanced/Timezone)
is that correctly set as well?

Mine also shows the wrong time. Really annoying and not very
impressive... (makes for really nice jokes from friends though).

may be a different problem, but I recently had a time zone problem and
tracked it down to my ROUTER having the wrong time zone selected.
Didn't affect my pc itself though worth a look

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Touch reads wrong Time from the Server

2010-05-05 Thread Kyruss

Yes, to 100%.

If I use the Touch as a Server for it self. The Time is displayed
correctly.

If I Look at my Server, I can see the Boxes connectet to it, for the
Touch I see, connectet to MySqueezebox.com.

If I go to the Touch and connect to the Server, so that I can access
the Music, stored on it, the time changes.

But if I switch back to the Touch as a Server, the wrong Time stays.

To get the correct Time back, I have to do a Factory Reset.

I can repeat this as often as I want

I can reproduce this wrong behavior.

I have 4 Booms, no problem, correct Time.

Had a Duet, replaced it with a Touch, cause I was unhappy with it.
...and now this...

Well check your timezone settings for the touch. Specifically on
mysqueezebox.com

If your other devices have the correct time then the issue is with a
config on the touch somewhere.

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Touch reads wrong Time from the Server

2010-05-05 Thread Siduhe

As others have said, this is likely to be a timezone issue. How to fix
it will depend on whether your Touch is connected to MySB.com, the
Squeezebox Server software or to the internal Touch server when the
time goes wrong.

As a starting point, have a look on the Touch menus at Settings -
Advanced - Timezone. Timezone is supposed to be auto-detected - maybe
yours is set wrong?

Also have a look as the equivalent setting in MySB.com as suggested.

If this only happens when you connect to the server software, the most
likely cause is that the time is not set correctly on the box (mac, pc,
nas) which is running the software. Can you check this as well?
