Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Using password with Logitech Media Server
Sorry for digging up an old thread! Is there a way to store username/password on a Touch for remote connection to LMS? I would like to avoid entering username and passwd when I connect Thanks Readynas Ultra 2 Plus - LMS 7.8 with BrutefirDRC 2.0 - filter from Audiolense 4.13 - Touch (EDO and Squeezelite) to Devialet 250 - KEF Q300 (redesigned filter) OGS's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32981 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96073 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Using password with Logitech Media Server
Ah yes of course ! Sorry for the dumb question. In fact I forgot to open port 3483 and the Touch was unabled to connect at all. Now that I fully opened it, it's OK. I am not really comfortable by letting an open port 3483 like that on my server. For what it worth, I also don't feel safe with just basic HTTP authentication on port 9000. I suppose that the best solution would be to create a VPN access with my router, but unfortunately my router is very simple and doesn't offer that kind of service. Thanks anyway !
