Bug description:
On the dash, System Settings is translated to Configuración del sistema.
Configuración is too long, so it's cut as

  Configuració
  n del sistema

That looks really bad. Maybe we can change the translation to Ajustes
  de sistema, or just Sistema.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1369222] [NEW] xorg random crash

2014-09-14 Thread teo1978
Public bug reported:

I was just watching a youtube video fullscreen in Google Chrome.
I exited fullscreen with the Esc key: starting from that moment, the whole
Google Chrome window's content was replaced by a frozen frame of the video (I
could still hear the audio streaming). I couldn't see the other tabs.
After a few seconds, Xorg crashed.

I already sent the automatical crash report (the window that pops up
telling you there was an internal problem) but that doesn't give me
any reference to the bug report, it doesn't even tell me if the report
was sent succesfully.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1369223] [NEW] Crash report doesn't give return a link to the report sent, nor give any feedback of success/failure

2014-09-14 Thread teo1978
Public bug reported:

Not sure Apport is the correct package.

When something crashes, e.g. Xorg, a popup appears informing of that and
offering the possibility to report the error.

However, the issue is that:
1 - it does not give you the slightest feedback of whether the error was
reported succesfully. Immediately after clicking on Report, the window closes
and syou see nothing else (or you see the reporting questions, such as that
below, but never any progress information about the reporting process).

2 - it doesn't provide a link to any publicly accessible information
about the reported error. I don't know if such public information is
available, if it is not then it should. I don't know if a bug is opened
in Launchpad or any other public bugtracker. If it is not then it
should. Actually it should definitely offer the possibility to login on
Launchpad and file a launchpad bug report (in addition to whatever it
already does) if one has an account.

3 - It even goes to the extreme point of nonsense that, if the crash is
in Xorg, it asks you the usual question that ubuntu-bug would ask:
whether you are willing to do additional debugging work if asked by the
developers. Well, suppose I say Yes: how the hell are developers
supposed to contact me?? I don't think my email is stored anywhere in
the system, so unless it opens a browser and gives me an opportunity to
log in on Launchpad how does it know?

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1369224] [NEW] rsync preserve permission does not work

2014-09-14 Thread Gerben
Public bug reported:

Hi,

I am a regular user of rsync on various systems, giving parameters
'-prH' or '-prHl' to shift data over to other locations while retaining
correct permissions.

Today (Ubuntu 14.04.1 64 bits, rsync 3.1.0) I descovered the '-p'
parameter is not working. As root I'm copying the contents of the home
directory to a new location, but the owner/group is set as root.root,
not the intended user.

This is incorrect operation, and can be problematic for people who
automatically schedule rsync operations.

I can work around this (using tar and untar), but that is not as
cool/simple/efficient as using rsync.

Greetings,

Gerben

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1287827] Re: wifi not configurable in network-manager showing disabled by hardware switch

2014-09-14 Thread roytanck
I'm a long time Ubuntu user, but still quite new to Launchpad, so please
excuse my ignorance.

I'm wondering how issues like this one are usually resolved. This
appears to me to be a rather serious issue. It involves a popular Lenovo
notebook, the most recent Ubuntu, and an essential piece of hardware.

A solution appears to be available (https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Linux-
Discussion/Yoga-2-13-not-Pro-Linux-Warning/m-p/1517612#M5933), but it
involves compiling a kernel module. Not something I think regular users
should ideally have to deal with.

Is there any way of telling whether this will be fixed, and perhaps even
- when?

I read somewhere I can use wicd and that does work.
iwlist wlan0 scan worked also before installing that.
Seems like a bug in network-manager to me.
It would be nice if NM does whatever wicd does to enable the wifi card.
I have nog physical button for wif and wifi is enabled in the UEFI firmware.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1366152] Re: System crash when Vasco-card-reader is plugged in at powerup

2014-09-14 Thread Bernard Decock
It looks that the program is crashing somewhere on a process-fork

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

#2 0xb7ec24ce in clone () at ../sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/i386/clone.S:129

I added a debug-log, with a list of breakpoints. The program is receiving the
exception while I'm stepping through
the code. So I needed more breakpoints in order to capture the problem. Can you
please give a suggestion.

System crash when Vasco-card-reader is plugged in at powerup

Status in “pcsc-lite” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I'm using VASCO Data Security International Digipass 905 SmartCard Reader
which is working fine. However if the device is plugged in at power-up, the
device isn't handled well. Although the device is in the ilisted usb-devices,
pcsc-scan doesn't find the device at all (Which is normal as the green-led is
going out after the kernel starts). If one tries to remove the card-reader,
a system-crash happens. After that the pcscd-service seems to be halted :
  pcsc_scan
  PC/SC device scanner
  V 1.4.22 (c) 2001-2011, Ludovic Rousseau ludovic.rouss...@free.fr
Compiled with PC/SC lite version: 1.8.10
  SCardEstablishContext: Service not available.

One can recover from this problem by
  1. Unplugging the reader
  2. Manually starting the service again by sudo service pcscd start
  3. Plugging back the reader in (green led stays on, red led goes on when a
card is put in)

The bug is not related to a 64-bit architecture as it happens also
  with 32-bit machines.

None of the apps I have tried including Weather, Google maps, OSM
Touch and SensorStatus are able to use the phone's GPS. The
SensorStatus app actually reports Found supported backend, but finds
no position or other GPS data.

Location detection on the other hand is doing something, but it is
really far off when it comes to determining the actual location of the
device. The Weather app suggests my location as Vänsjö, Jämtland,
which is about 400 km north of Stockholm where I am at. OSM Touch
reports no location available and Google maps Your location could
  not be determined

I don't know if the GPS has to waken up somehow, but it has not
shown any form of life for me on Ubuntu Touch, even though it works
perfectly fine when booting the phone as Android.

Bug description:
upower 0.99 needs uploading for gnome 3.12 to enter ubuntu. It drops
the suspend/hibernate functions, as logind now does that. All major
DEs have support for this,so nearly everything just needs a rebuild.
  This bug tracks the transition.

A transition is required as some features were removed and the SONAME
  was changed

All packages (and build logs) are staged in
  https://launchpad.net/~noskcaj/+archive/upower/+packages

sugar will probably need removing. If a package only needs a rebuild,
mark it fix commited, if something else is needed, in progress.

  cairo-dock-plug-ins: needs rebuilding
gnome-shell - ready, just need to drop upower revert.
  gnome-control-center: WIP
gnome-packagekit: Upower dropped from newest upstream release.
gnome-power-manager: Fixed in newest upstream release. Merge from debian
gnome-session: Done in ppa, needs patches from git or new upstream release
gnome-settings-daemon: 3.12 is ready out of the box, however that also
requires gnome-desktop transition. 3.8 and also u-s-d: I have a package that is
mostly working, however had to cherry-pick quite a few patches and may just be
better to backport 3.12 power plugin. (considering g-s-d patches will be
temporary, but u-s-d not so)
kde: works fine with systemd, suspend broken with upstart, no rebuilds needed
  cinnamon: Rebuild
mate: all mate packages need rebuilding
  python-dbusmock: needs rebuild
sugar: Upstream bug now filed. Unlikely to be ready in time for 14.10. We
should remove this from the archive till the next upstream release
telepathy-mission-control-5: Debian has dropped upower support, so it's done
  wmbattery: needs rebuild
  xfce4-power-manager: Needs rebuilding
xfce4-session: Fixed already, since we switched to logind
  xfce4-settings: Needs rebuild
  xfce4-systemload-plugin: needs rebuild

[Touch-packages] [Bug 932882] Re: Update of a printer driver package does not update the PPD files of the existing queues for this driver

2014-09-14 Thread Marcin Juszkiewicz
Another machine. Raring - Saucy - Trusty done on one day.

The PPD version (5.2.9) is not compatible with Gutenprint 5.2.10-pre2.

Will it get fixed finally???

Bug description:
I needed to print few tickets for travel. But as they did not appeared
on my printer I took a look at http://localhost:631/ and discovered
  this:

The PPD version (5.2.7) is not compatible with Gutenprint
  5.2.8-pre1.

Had to print to PDF and do printing from MS Windows laptop...

[Impact] Printers used with Gutenprint do not work for all users who
update from an older Ubuntu version to Precise.

[Test Case] To reproduce: Upgrade from Gutenprint 5.2.7 to
5.2.8~pre1-0ubuntu2 does not update the PPD files of existing queues.
To test, create a Gutenprint-based print queue on a system with 5.2.7
  then run

  grep -i gutenprint /etc/cups/ppd/*.ppd

and see that the PPD files are of Gutenprint version 5.2.7. Update to
  5.2.8~pre1-0ubuntu2 and run

  grep -i gutenprint /etc/cups/ppd/*.ppd

The PPDs are still not upgraded. Update from 5.2.7 or
5.2.8~pre1-0ubuntu2 to 5.2.8~pre1-0ubuntu2.1 and your PPD files get
  updated to 5.2.8pre1.

[Regression Potential] Only change is the timestamp of one file. So
  regressions should not be possible.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1369250] Re: Blackscreen; lightdm not starting up after update

2014-09-14 Thread Dave Gilbert
Some notes:
  1) The contents of /var/log/lightdm.log aren't being touched - so perhaps
it's not getting that far?
  2) Hmm /var/log/upstart/lightdm.log

root@davros:/var/log/upstart# more lightdm.log
/proc/self/fd/9: 24: exec: lightdm: not found
/proc/self/fd/9: 24: exec: lightdm: not found

/proc/self/fd/9: 24: exec: lightdm: not found
/proc/self/fd/9: 24: exec: lightdm: not found
/proc/self/fd/9: 24: exec: lightdm: not found

hmm; it looks like the lightdm packages got uninstalled (I did do an
autoremove after the update so I suspect a dependency has gone); but
given that log it looks like something was still trying to start lightdm
and it hadn't updated to select a new dm. So that's still a bug - but
not sure where; removing lightdm shouldn't try and start it.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1325142] Re: failure to update libpam-systemd in 14.04 due to missing logind init script

2014-09-14 Thread jox
Hi Paul,

could you provide some more details?

I suppose you were using the 'uck-gui' command to remaster a Ubuntu
14.04.1 amd64 image?

How are you booting (DVD or USB)?

Did you boot right into the Live CD (by choosing Try Ubuntu)?

When and how exactly did you get this failure? (In fact while booting?
Or after invoking some apt commands or using Software Center in the
running Live Ubuntu?)

If possible, what happens if you invoke the following command in the
running remastered Ubuntu: 'initctl show-config'?

recover that way in a live session.

the problem seems to be the /var/lib/dpkg/info/libpam-systemd:i386.prerm

  someone else's build log:
  https://launchpad.net/~qutim/+archive/qutim/+build/6039800

launchpad bug #1323575 seems to be a duplicate of this one.

perhaps related to older launchpad bug #1305395 ?

note we are also suffering from a failure with update-initramfs, not sure of
the root cause of that one but I thought I'd mention it in case they were
related, since they both started happening about the same time, a couple weeks
ago. (launchpad bug #1317602)
It all worked ok after the inital releases of 14.04, so something to do with
a package update since then.

  thanks,
  Hamish

Bug description:
upower 0.99 needs uploading for gnome 3.12 to enter ubuntu. It drops
the suspend/hibernate functions, as logind now does that. All major
DEs have support for this,so nearly everything just needs a rebuild.
  This bug tracks the transition.

A transition is required as some features were removed and the SONAME
  was changed

All packages (and build logs) are staged in
  https://launchpad.net/~noskcaj/+archive/upower/+packages

sugar will probably need removing. If a package only needs a rebuild,
mark it fix commited, if something else is needed, in progress.

  cairo-dock-plug-ins: needs rebuilding
gnome-shell - ready, just need to drop upower revert.
  gnome-control-center: WIP
gnome-packagekit: Upower dropped from newest upstream release.
gnome-power-manager: Fixed in newest upstream release. Merge from debian
gnome-session: Done in ppa, needs patches from git or new upstream release
gnome-settings-daemon: 3.12 is ready out of the box, however that also
requires gnome-desktop transition. 3.8 and also u-s-d: I have a package that is
mostly working, however had to cherry-pick quite a few patches and may just be
better to backport 3.12 power plugin. (considering g-s-d patches will be
temporary, but u-s-d not so)
kde: works fine with systemd, suspend broken with upstart, no rebuilds needed
  cinnamon: Rebuild
mate: all mate packages need rebuilding
  python-dbusmock: needs rebuild
sugar: Upstream bug now filed. Unlikely to be ready in time for 14.10. We
should remove this from the archive till the next upstream release
telepathy-mission-control-5: Debian has dropped upower support, so it's done
  wmbattery: needs rebuild
  xfce4-power-manager: Needs rebuilding
xfce4-session: Fixed already, since we switched to logind
  xfce4-settings: Needs rebuild
  xfce4-systemload-plugin: needs rebuild

Laserjet 2550 Series Postscript [en] (recommended).

After installing the printer the first thing that fails is the
Testpage. The ubunut printer spooler tells me that the job is in
progress and the printer starts to blink to tell me that he is
receiving input. Unfortunatly the job never starts or gets finished.
After blinking quite a while the printer stops an nothing happes.

Interestingly, after canceling the job on my computer and a restart of
the printer, the printserver and my computer, I can open libre office
writing Hello World go to print and the printer starts immediately
and prints the correct result. But this only works for libreoffice and
only with text, as soon as there is an image in the document it
doesn't work. I can't print any pdf or even from gedit. Nothing works.
Always the same as with the Testpage. Printer starts to blink but

Status in “wireless-tools” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Release: Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04.

When using the default wireless connection manager provided with
Ubuntu, using the MAC address cloning feature in conjunction with WPA2
encryption results in a failure to connect.

What I expected to happen: I would have no trouble connecting to a
  wireless network

What happened instead: Ubuntu attempts to connect, but fails. On
Ubuntu 12.04, it keeps prompting for the passphrase repeatedly, even
though the one entered was correct. On Ubuntu 14.04, it simply gives

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1369293] [NEW] The desktop will not shrink back to one monitor when an external monitor is detached if system settings is not running

2014-09-14 Thread Markus Ilmola
Public bug reported:

When an external HDMI monitor is attached, the desktop is automatically
extended to it.
But when the same monitor is detached, the desktop will not automatically
shrink back to one monitor.
How ever if the system settings program is running while monitor is detached,
the desktop does shrink back to one monitor correctly.
The desktop will also shrink back, if the systems settings is run at any time
after detaching the monitor.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1369259] Re: /var/lib/apt/extended_states registers packages with the architecture all as the system architecture

2014-09-14 Thread David Kalnischkies
Not a bug. Being architecture all or architecture any is a property of
the version as a package can change from any to all (and back) between
versions. The stanzas in the extended file refer to all versions
instead, which means that arch:all is the same as arch:native, so this
is correct.

Also, where is the bug? The extended file is an internal state file, so
as long as we parse it correctly, everything is fine. If you need the
info included in that file, ask e.g. apt-mark for it. Nobody knows if
the next version of apt would be renaming the file, be binary or use a
mysql database to store that info instead (okay, the later is unlikely…
as in: Over my dead body!)

Title:
  Unity panel should be transparent

Status in Unity:
  New
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
This is not exactly a bug, but more of a wishlist entry. The top
panel/global menu bar would look nicer if it was transparent by
default. I always use the compiz settings manager to set Unity's panel
opacity to 0, because it really does make a big aesthetic difference
to the desktop. The fully-opaque, dark-grey menu bar just looks a bit
last-decade. Also, when transitioning between the new lock screen
(LightDM), or when opening the Unity Dash, the way the panel suddenly
switches from being dark grey to transparent is pretty jarring. That's
how I feel anyway. So making the panel transparent (not *completely*
transparent though, you should still see the bar going across) would
not only make LightDM and Ubuntu feel more like one entity, but it
would look nicer/more modern, and the transitioning between the Unity
Dash and the new lock screen would look more seamless and natural as
  well.

  Just a suggestion. Thanks. ^^

Does the SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault happens inside
udev_monitor_receive_device()?

In that case can you update libudev?

System crash when Vasco-card-reader is plugged in at powerup

Bug description:
I'm using VASCO Data Security International Digipass 905 SmartCard Reader
which is working fine. However if the device is plugged in at power-up, the
device isn't handled well. Although the device is in the ilisted usb-devices,
pcsc-scan doesn't find the device at all (Which is normal as the green-led is
going out after the kernel starts). If one tries to remove the card-reader,
a system-crash happens. After that the pcscd-service seems to be halted :

Compiled with PC/SC lite version: 1.8.10
  SCardEstablishContext: Service not available.

One can recover from this problem by
  1. Unplugging the reader
  2. Manually starting the service again by sudo service pcscd start
  3. Plugging back the reader in (green led stays on, red led goes on when a
card is put in)

The bug is not related to a 64-bit architecture as it happens also

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1314367] Re: Flickering with Ubuntu 14.04 and nvidia card reappeared

2014-09-14 Thread Graham Walter
Just installed Ubuntu 14.04 and installed Nvidia driver 340.24 and the
flicker was there especially on firefox. Managed get rid of it by
unchecking Allow Flipping under OpenGL in Nvidia settings. However
when switching tabs, parts of the page will not display properly until I
scroll. Will try downgrading to 331 ver and check if that helps. Also
haven't tried the workaround on compiz.

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
As requested in Bug #1310633 I'm opening a new bug.

With a previous version of Ubuntu I already had this flickering. With
additional options for the kernel module I was able to fix the
  flickering.

  options nvidia NVreg_RegistryDwords=PerfLevelSrc=0x
  NVreg_Mobile=3 NVreg_ModifyDeviceFiles=0

With version 14.04 and the nvidia-331 (331.38-0ubuntu7) driver the
flickering reappeared although the line is still present in
  options.conf.

Using modprobe --resolve-alias nvidia I found the correct driver
module name which in my case is nvidia_331. Changing the module name
in options.conf to nvidia_331 X doesn't start anymore. Removing the
NVreg_ModifyDeviceFiles option X is starting again, but does not solve
  the issue.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1295909] Re: Unity spread trigger ruins windows and freezes desktop

2014-09-14 Thread Mahfuzur Rahman Shaon
MY SOLUTION:

Recently when i turned the hot corners on my window spread started crashing
everything.
here's the workaround:

1. Turn off window spread (no don't its awesome)
2. disable hot corner command (if it's conflicting with another command)
###3. install compiz manager then _ unity plugin - on the left side there
you'll see use this plugin uncheck the box unity will crash but the window
will remain opened. Then check use this plugin again and you'll see it says
conflicting key bindings found. disable conflicting keybindings. and you are
all SET :) :) :)

CAUSES FOR THIS:

It seems that multiple command for a single function of unity causes
this. for me i had cntrl+super+d - show desktop, then i enabled the
hotcorner show desktop and it started crashing on window spread.

thanks

It seems that multiple command for a single function of unity causes
this. for me i had cntrl+super+d - show desktop, then i enabled the
hotcorner show desktop and it started crashing on window spread.

thanks

HP Jet Direct. As already said, everything worked fine under 12.10 and
I didn't change any settings on the printserver.

I use the ubuntu tool for installing the printer, as a normal user not
su. Searching the network, for network printers offers me three
possibilities for adressing the printer. HP Jet Direct, IPP and
LPD/LPR. I tried all of them with the same result. I use the drivers
from the Database, not surprisingly HP/Color Laserjet 2550/HP Color
Laserjet 2550 Series Postscript [en] (recommended).

After installing the printer the first thing that fails is the
Testpage. The ubunut printer spooler tells me that the job is in
progress and the printer starts to blink to tell me that he is
receiving input. Unfortunatly the job never starts or gets finished.
After blinking quite a while the printer stops an nothing happes.

Interestingly, after canceling the job on my computer and a restart of
the printer, the printserver and my computer, I can open libre office
writing Hello World go to print and the printer starts immediately
and prints the correct result. But this only works for libreoffice and
  only

You cannot auto login with an encrypted home directory. To decrypt the

login.

Attempted asking on launchpad first, this is the post:
  https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+question/204213

In summary, when I installed I selected to use autologin and it worked
fine, except that it was using en_GB locale instead of en_US. Didn't
know how to change locale at first so I just went to
ApplicationsSystemUsers and Groups and made it ask for a password to
login. This allowed me to select locale on login. I've since changed
it to automatically use en_US so I tried to turn auto-login back on.
I at first just clicked the box to no longer ask for a password and it
didn't work. It switched to a nosplash view for about a second and
switched back to the greeter. Had to log in as a guest and change it
back to asking for a password so that I could log in. This is my
  /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf output:

  [SeatDefaults]
  user-session=xubuntu
  greeter-session=lightdm-gtk-greeter
  autologin-user=justin
  autologin-user-timeout=0

  Just like http://xubuntu.org/news/faq-1204-precise/ says.

This is the only thing that stuck out from /var/log/lightdm.log:

[+941.41s] WARNING: Could not call SetLanguage:
  GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.Acc$

Syslog only had one thing when I grepped lightdm:

  Jul 27 07:16:00 justin-Presario-V2000-EZ617UA-ABA lightdm:
  pam_ecryptfs: Passphrase file wrapped

  Thanks in advance!

The message seems harmless as far as the network is concerned, meaning
there is no problem with the wifi connection. But it's spamming the
syslog, making it very difficult to find any other thing there, and
it's generating constant writes to disk, and an unnecessarily large
  syslog file.

Impact: high CPU/memory usage from unity-panel-service

  Test case:

Open a large image in the GIMP and activate a lot of items from the
global menu. Using shortcuts is enough and faster to reproduce this
bug (I've always used Ctrl+A and Ctrl+Shift+A). Memory usage of unity-
panel-service increases steadily and it uses a lot of CPU shortly
after activating the menu items in a short time.

Regression potential: check that the menus are stable/working as they
  should

  -
Just going about my business on Ubuntu Raring amd64 on an x230 and I heard
the fan kick into action. top showed me that unity-panel-service was consuming
all the free cycles on one of my CPUs. I killed it before my machine
overheated, so I didn't attach a debugger to see why it was totally pegging out
a CPU.

I'm not sure if this adds any context, but I was using a LibreOffice
spreadsheet and I could not insert a table because the menu had lost
it's mind, and then I observed the overly loaded CPU a very short
  while after that.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1323089] Re: wpa_supplicant writes to syslog every 2 minutes

2014-09-14 Thread Olivier Bilodeau
I have connectivity issues with this problem. The only reason I noticed
the connectivity issue is because my work VPN disconnects. Otherwise I
wouldn't have noticed. So I guess that this is a loss of only a few
packets which TCP will definitely recover for most applications.

Pinning the BSSID (not just the SSID) through NetworkManager GUI did fix
it for me. I run a 2.4ghz and a 5ghz network with the same SSID. I'm
pretty sure this is what triggers the issue. Since other OSes are fine
with it (including android) this is a bug in either wpa_supplicant or
NetworkManager.

Since I'm unsure whether people just don't notice the connectivity issue
(because TCP recovers so well and UDP is all about being unreliable) I'm
with Anders on this one and reluctant to file a new issue.

I don't have the time and energy to dig into the source and all but I'm
willing to run diagnostics, describe more my setup and try fixes if
people are interested in nailing this one.

Both 57843 and this bug are filed for wpa_supplicant spamming the syslog.
Please read the Bug Descriptions - neither bug report is filed for connectivity
issues. Key words: Bug Description filed.

I made no 'claims', I simply recommended that you file a separate bug report
for connectivity issues:
For connectivity issues I recommend following
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WirelessTroubleshootingProcedure and filing
a separate bug report. My suggestion is to file another bug report regarding
loss of connectivity using:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/LinuxWireless?action=showredirect=KernelTeam%2FLinuxWireless
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WirelessTroubleshootingProcedure
to provide details for the developer(s). if you firmly believe that
wpa_supplicant writes to syslog every 2 minutes is the cause of your loss of
connectivity, then I'd also suggest that you add detailed information that will
assist the developer(s) in resolving the issue. Nuff said.

This bug is continuation of the bug 217215. To avoid any problems

  Clean account means:

  2) Remove any further files related to hp1018
  find /usr/share -name *1018*
  ./foo2zjs/firmware/sihp1018.img

After restarting the printer a system message appear pointing that new
hardware had been installed and suggesting that hpijs package support the HP

  I:
  - installed hpijs with depends
  - Ran Printer configure tool: a driver for HP 1018 hadn't been found
  - so I chose suggested HP 1015 driver
  - printer didn't react for send packages.

2014-09-14 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Looks like the offending change was:

gcc-4.9 (4.9.1-14ubuntu2) utopic; urgency=medium

  * Merge with Debian; remaining changes:
- Build from upstream sources.

gcc-4.9 (4.9.1-14) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Update to SVN 20140912 (r215228) from the gcc-4_9-branch.
  * Update the Linaro support to the 4.9-2014.09 release.
  * Fix installation of the libstdc++ documentation. Closes: #760872.
