[Touch-packages] [Bug 1198653] Re: It is not possible to drag & drop and pin icon to launch bar when auto-hiding is turned on
Yes, I've noticed that I can always reproduce the bug from second try. For example I've booted up Ubuntu, turned auto-hide on and in first try I can move the icon, but when I'll miss the dock and move mouse out of the search box and bar hides, from now always I can't anymore attach items from search because bar keeps hiding. This is still happening on 14.04. I too have multiple monitors, with the middle one being the main monitor. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1133162] [NEW] video does not recover after suspend with nouveau driver
You have been subscribed to a public bug: When running 12.04.2 with the nouveau driver, the system (X) does not recover after suspend and the system eventually freezes. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1396951] Re: webbrowser-app’s autopilot tests fail on otto: access to /dev/shm is denied
Discussed with Olivier over IRC that the otto issue is a limitation of the lxc containment in use and further support of otto is being deprecated in favor of a future solution that will run desktop tests natively on the hardware. Olivier also supports just disabling these tests (which was guidance we received from bfiller at the UE sprint in Washington DC) as they have just become noise and the more useful tests are the ones being run on touch devices. I will need to investigate the /dev/shm issue for the vivid builds. My theory is that this used to work but was disabled as it presents a potential containment hole between the chroot and the host. But that's just a theory. Given how we setup the pbuilder chroots, we may be able to do something about this. My only concern is that LP may then fail to build due to this problem. But currently Olivier can confirm that LP still builds. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to webbrowser-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1396951 Title: webbrowser-app’s autopilot tests fail on otto: access to /dev/shm is denied Status in Automated UI testing on Hardware: New Status in webbrowser-app package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The CI job that runs autopilot tests for webbrowser-app on otto (desktop) has been consistently failing since the switch to vivid. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1396951] Re: webbrowser-app’s autopilot tests fail on otto: access to /dev/shm is denied
It’s likely that LP virtual builders for x86 are on trusty (or an older ubuntu release anyway), this /dev/shm issue started appearing in vivid, which would explain why we’re not seeing it in PPA builds. Of course when LP builders are upgraded to vivid(+n), builds will start failing. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1362640] Re: Remove qtwebkit from touch image
For webapp-container, ie webapps, I have sent emails to the maintainers of all the 20 webapps still using the 13.10 framework. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1362640] Re: Remove qtwebkit from touch image
Keep in mind also that you can't transparently migrate apps to Oxide, because of the framework they are attached to. Apps still using the 13.10 framework will need an explicit upload, as the apparmor policy will only let them use Oxide if they declare 14.04+ and add the 'webview' policy_group. I counted 120 apps still using 13.10, out of which 20 are webapps. ** Also affects: cordova-ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: cordova-ubuntu Assignee: (unassigned) => Maxim Ermilov (zaspire) ** Changed in: cordova-ubuntu Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: cordova-ubuntu Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: cordova-ubuntu Status: Confirmed => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to ubuntu-touch-meta in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1362640 Title: Remove qtwebkit from touch image Status in the base for Ubuntu mobile products: Confirmed Status in Cordova Ubuntu: Triaged Status in Web Browser App: Triaged Status in ubuntu-touch-meta package in Ubuntu: In Progress Bug description: The argument to remove this is based on the following: The qtwebkit webview is deprecated for our sdk and we will not be supporting it long term We are supporting an Oxide/Chromium solution for the Ubuntu.Webview This was done largely for security reasons The qtwebkit package is large and we would like to reduce image and install size We want to discourage app devs from using this api any longer, the review tools have indicated this for several months To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1362640/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1398436] Re: Preview frozen after unlocking
I did some testing. I am seeing two different behaviors: 1) "Normal" behavior: when the phone is locked/unlocked, the viewfinder shows black for ~1 second and then switches back to live viewfinder mode. This is expected, as the camera-app has to release the camera backend when it becomes inactive (either from moving to the background or locking the phone) such that other apps using the camera will have it available. Only one client connection at a time is allowed and this how Android subsystem we are using is designed. 2) Abnormal behavior: hard to reproduce, but sometimes after lock/unlock the viewfinder shows a frozen image of the previous preview for ~5seconds, then switches to black screen, then to a live viewfinder. Cannot always reproduce this but assuming this is the bug that has been reported. @victor Can you confirm that 2) is the case that is being reported? ** Changed in: camera-app Status: New => In Progress ** Also affects: qtubuntu-camera (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: qtubuntu-camera (Ubuntu RTM) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to camera-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1398436 Title: Preview frozen after unlocking Status in Camera App: In Progress Status in the base for Ubuntu mobile products: Confirmed Status in camera-app package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in qtubuntu-camera package in Ubuntu: New Status in camera-app package in Ubuntu RTM: New Status in qtubuntu-camera package in Ubuntu RTM: New Bug description: [Procedures] 1 open the camera app 2 lock screen on the camera view interface by pressing power button 2.unlock the screen [Expect results] camera screen display normally [Actual results] The preview image is frozen for about 5 secs [Reproduce] May need to do 5 to 10 times Once in this state it seems to then happen consistently To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/camera-app/+bug/1398436/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Touch-packages] [Bug 1398436] Re: Preview frozen after unlocking
The only way I can see 2) happening is if the system is overloaded (possibly due to a memory leak or due to a rogue process using CPU when it shouldn't) then the camera app will not have enough time to release the lock on the camera and clear the viewfinder's preview before the process is suspended/interrupted. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to camera-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1398436 Title: Preview frozen after unlocking Status in Camera App: In Progress Status in the base for Ubuntu mobile products: Confirmed Status in camera-app package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in qtubuntu-camera package in Ubuntu: New Status in camera-app package in Ubuntu RTM: New Status in qtubuntu-camera package in Ubuntu RTM: New Bug description: [Procedures] 1 open the camera app 2 lock screen on the camera view interface by pressing power button 2.unlock the screen [Expect results] camera screen display normally [Actual results] The preview image is frozen for about 5 secs [Reproduce] May need to do 5 to 10 times Once in this state it seems to then happen consistently To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/camera-app/+bug/1398436/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

I would think that's highly unlikely though since a process has 5 seconds from the point that it receives a signal that it's being suspended until the point that it actually is suspended. 5 seconds is a long time in computing.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1398427] Re: Can't use earphone to answer or disconnect a call
Once https://code.launchpad.net/~rsalveti/qtmir/wired_hs_keys/+merge/243720 is merged you'll be able to retrieve such events at the Qt level (in our case I think the shell is the one responsible for handling the input stack and taking actions). On QML you should look for both Qt.Key_MediaPlay and Qt.Key_MediaTogglePlayPause (a similar logic would need to be in place for multimedia playback, and also checking if there is an income call in place, but not yet done). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to telephony-service in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1398427 Title: Can't use earphone to answer or disconnect a call Status in the base for Ubuntu mobile products: Confirmed Status in Telephony Service: New Status in qtmir package in Ubuntu: In Progress Status in telephony-service package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in qtmir package in Ubuntu RTM: In Progress Status in telephony-service package in Ubuntu RTM: New Bug description: [Procedures] 1.insert the earphone 2.make a MO call to DUT 3.use the Hook key to answer the call 4.when connected the call use the hook key to disconnect the call [Expect results] earphone hook key can answer and disconnect the call [Actual results] can't answer and disconnect the call [Reproduce] Always To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1398427/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Test Case] Unfortunately it is not possible to reproduce this bug at will. Apparently is is caused by an uninitialized pointer dereference that only occurs in a timing-dependent manner. Running a full autopilot test suite against the Unity desktop shell reveals no new regressions. [Regression Potential] The code change effectively adds a test for a null pointer. It is possible that this might introduce a regression in drag-and-drop functionality that previously relied on undefined behaviour to work when it didn't crash. [Other Info] Fix was released with Ubuntu 14.10 and no new regressions have been reported.
