I chose to reinstall the 17.10 version from scratch. All the procedure went without any trouble. I have IP connection over the wire. output of the "lsusb" command here (with your printer connected and
turned on) and also tell which printer model you are using and which
option(s) you have set ("-o usb-no-reattach-default=true" and/or "-o
usb-unidir-default=true"). Thanks.

I have the same problem, however I don't have this line in my file..
Any ideas of how I could solve it?
I tried to add the line, but it didnt help

I stepped through 2 builds side-by-side in gdb - one good build built
with gcc 7.1, and one bad build, built with gcc 7.2. I managed to narrow
it down to a bug in sha256_block_data_order.
One of the first differences I spotted was that the good build branches
almost immediately to a NEON code path (sha256_block_data_order_neon),
whereas the broken build continues on the non-NEON code path.
If we look at the first few instructions of sha256_block_data_order in a
good build:

The first instruction basically loads the address of the start of the

The second instruction loads a value from an address 40 bytes before the
instruction in to %r12. Looking in sha256-armv4.S, this value is
"OPENSSL_armcap_P - sha256_block_data_order", or the offset of OPENSSL_armcap_P
from the start of sha256_block_data_order.
The third instruction loads the value of OPENSSL_armcap_P in to %r12.
Stepping through these instructions gives this state:

Continuing debugging the broken build, if we look at the first few
instructions of sha256_block_data_order:

This looks similar to before - the intention being that %r3 is loaded
with the address of the start of the function, %r12 is loaded with the
offset of OPENSSL_armcap_P from the start of the function, then %r12 is
loaded with the value of OPENSSL_armcap_P.
However, the first instruction is broken - the #3 should be a #4.
Stepping past it produces this state:

Now, %r3 is the address of the start of the function, off-by-1.
Continuing to step through demonstrates that we load the wrong value in
to %r12, and this causes the non-NEON code path to be executed, which
somehow doesn't work.
If I step past these first 3 instructions, and then write the expected
value of OPENSSL_armcap_P in to %r12, the test completes successfully:

The incorrect instruction at the start of sha256_block_data_order comes from the ADR pseudo-instruction in sha256-armv4.S: .global sha256_block_data_order .type sha256_block_data_order,%function sha256_block_data_order: #if __ARM_ARCH__<7 sub r3,pc,#8@ sha256_block_data_order #else adr r3,sha256_block_data_order #endif The ADR instruction assembles to a SUB in our case, and it appears to do this incorrectly in Thumb mode. If this output is selected and a sound test run (either using the GUI or using aplay /user/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav) no sound is heard. Pavumeter does however show sound coming through. I found that sound can be fixed by allowing the display to sleep, waking it up, and then restarting pulseaudio (pulseaudio -k). After that sound output through HDMI to the TV will work until rebooted. The fix can be succesfully scripted as follows: xset dpms force off sleep 1 pulseaudio -k The machine is an Intel NUC6CAYH, connected to a not particularly new Samsung 42" TV using an HDMI cable, running a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04. In earlier attempts at fixing the issue I set pulseaudio to never let the sound device sleep (commented out load-module module-suspend-on- idle in /etc/pulse/default.pa), and also set the default sampling rate to 48000 (default-sample-rate = 48000 in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf). Not sure if these settings contributed to the fix, but they are not sufficient on their own. Public bug reported: After I upgraded to Artful I noticed the Hedgewars game crashing while starting a new game. After some debugging I found this happens in the following library: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0xb0fd2a75 in ?? () from /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri/i965_dri.so It is from libgl1-mesa-dri package (version 17.2.2-0ubuntu1). So I decided to roll this package back to previous version. I downloaded and installed the following packages from Zesty: - libgl1-mesa-dri_17.0.3-1ubuntu1_i386.deb - libegl1-mesa_17.0.3-1ubuntu1_i386.deb - libgbm1_17.0.3-1ubuntu1_i386.deb - libllvm4.0_4.0-1ubuntu1_i386.deb And this solved the issue. Public bug reported: The speakers are connected to USB. "Digital Output (S/PDIF) - Audioengine HD3" appears in Sound settings. At first try, testing speakers (in sound settings) produced sound, but there was no sound in other applications (like Chromium or Rhythmbox). I had to add "install snd_hda_intel /bin/false" to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa- base.conf to get sound to work in other applications (presumably s/pdif was not directed to default sound card). But then, after a few minutes there is no sound any more (even speaker testing in settings does not produce any sound any more). Turning off the speakers and then back on doesn't help. Nor does disconnecting and reconnecting usb cord. So far, only rebooting restores sound for a while. Same bug for me: /etc/resolv.conf was pointing to /run/NetworkManager/resolv.conf rather than ../run/resolvconf/resolv.conf, as fixed by dpkg-reconfigure resolvconf. Hence, there must be some kind of bug during the update process from Ubuntu 17.04 to 17.10 that impedes resolvconf to be configured properly.
