Hello Martin I ran "sudo apt-get install -f", and it re-applied post-install configuration for udev. That seemed to solve the problem. Unfortunately, I have upgraded to 14.10, and there are no files in /var/crash which seem related to this, only more recent crashes. I suppose this bug can be left as it is unless it is reported again by others.
