[Touch-packages] [Bug 1512851] Re: No network error when making call

2015-11-27 Thread Krishna
Few more steps to reproduce this issue -

Open Today's Scope > Touch any favourite contact > Hit Call > Takes you
to Dialer App > Hit Dial icon> No Network Found >Hit Dial icon again.
The call is placed.

Device - BQ Aquaris E5
Current Version - OTA 8

Title:
No network error when making call

Status in Canonical System Image:
  Triaged
Status in dialer-app package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
When the dialer app is not running and I get redirected to it in order
to make a call, the first time I hit the "call" button I invariably
get the error message: "no network" even though the phone is connected
to the GSM network. (My phone has the language set to Norwegian, so I
am guessing this is the English equivalent to the message I get.)

Here is what I do in detail:
  - I choose a number from the contacts list
  - I hit the phone icon next to the number to make a call,
  - the dialer app screen opens
  - I hit the "call" button,
  - message "no network"

The status bar at the top shows the phone has a GSM connection the
  whole time.

When I try again a couple of seconds later, the call gets placed
  normally.

The same thing happens when switching from the messaging app to the
dialer in order to call the person I have been texting.

However, if I wait a moment after entering the dialer before pressing
the "call" button, everything runs normally.

If the dialer-app is already active in the background when the
redirection happens, the bug does not occur.

Some kind of slow start issue? Screen appearing before the app is
actually ready to take the command?

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1520558] [NEW] Ability to forward a contact to another

2015-11-27 Thread Krishna
Public bug reported:

Currently, in order to forward a contact of mine to another user I need
to explicitly copy the phone number from the contacts app and then paste
it in the compose text box of a message. This is tedious and not that
user friendly.

Proposed solution -
User gets an option where he has the ability to perform certain actions like
adding a contact. On click of which, the contacts app should open and the user
selects a contact which gets added automatically to the compose text box.

Public bug reported:

Vibration occurs due to Notification/Message while answering the call.

Steps to reproduce the issue
 - Answer an incoming call
 - Send a notification/message to the device which is being tested

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1522000] [NEW] Mismatch in Audio & Video while playing large media files

2015-12-02 Thread Krishna
Public bug reported:

There has been some sync issues while playing large media files. Either
Audio is way ahead or behind the video.

Play a large Media file( in my case *.avi file with 738 MB)

 1) Video plays well for few seconds.
2) All of a sudden, the video plays in a slow motion(may be 0.8x) for few
seconds and Audio would be either playing normal or just stops
3) I hit pause(there is lag of 3 seconds) wait for a minute and then hit
play(lag of ~10 seconds)
4) The video plays normal for few seconds before it goes back to step 1

Hi Jim,

You can try any avi file. In my case it's a random media file(personal
one) that is working fine when played on VLC(on Ubuntu desktop). I will
google and find out if there are any such kind of videos over the
internet

[Touch-packages] [Bug 481656] Re: iBus blocks input in Java application

2016-04-13 Thread Bhuvan Krishna
I guess it is still not fixed. I tested with ubuntu 14.04 LTS updated on
freemind 0.9. I am trying to type telugu text which is an indic text. I
don't see the text if I try to type in freemind but if i copy text from
another application like gedit or kate it shows the text. I think the
bug still exists.

  Unknown
Status in Iced Tea:

Status in ibus package in Ubuntu:

Status in icedtea-java7 package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ibus

This is a very unfortunate bug, as it is hard to reproduce :(.

I use ThinkingRock, a Java application, and after some time the
keyboard input stops working for this application, meaning I can still
use my mouse to manipulate the program, but I cannot type anything.
When closing the iBus Daemon the input works again after some seconds.
Also restarting the Java application helps to postpone the problem
until it occurs again some minutes later.

I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 with version 1.2.0.20090927-2ubuntu2 of iBus and
version 2.2.1 of ThinkingRock. My Java version is 6-15-1.

Please notice: I do NOT want to input Chinese or Japanese or anything
like it. I just want to normally use my keyboard. I also have NO input
method selected, I have the input methods turned OFF.

I have yet to test this behavior with other Java applications (maybe
it's a bug in ThinkingRock?), so I'd be happy if somebody can confirm
this bug for other Java applications. Because the solution is to quit
the iBus Daemon, I suspect iBus to be the problem.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1833161] Re: [HDA-Intel - HDA Intel PCH, playback] No sound at all

2019-12-23 Thread Krishna rohith Paramkusham
First of All Thank You.I finally got someone to talk to. I am new user to
Ubuntu 18.04 and have same issue of no sound on my laptop. I also posted a
question on askubuntu but no answer since it has been asked yesterday. I only
know this info:
On running lspci Ii got to know that my Audio devices are: Intel Corporation
Cannon Lake PCH cAVS (rev 10) and another: NVIDIA Corporation Device 1aeb (rev
a1).
I tried only with alsa-base, alsamixer, pulseaudio, pavucontrol. Nonw of this
could solve my issue. But seeing this I can tell my issue can be solved with me
getting to know this whole conversation. I couldn't understand this. So, please
could you help me out figuring out in a nutshell of how to solve this issue? I
would be thankful.

Bug description:
  Hello to all,

My Ubuntu version is 18.04.02 LTS and I've setup a dual-boot with
windows 10. Speakers and audio jack work totally fine under Windows
10, but they never work with Ubuntu.

List of some of the things I've tried:

  1) I've tried all the steps from the "Sound Troubleshooting Procedure"
  2) I've tried installing the "oem-audio-hda-daily-dkms" package;
  3) I've tried to install/remove/reinstall alsa-base, alsa-utils, pulseaudio,
pavucontrol many times
  4) I've played with the options in the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf:
  a) I've tried to add "options snd-hda-intel model=auto" and I also tried
different models: auto, clevo, laptop-eapd, clevo m-720, generic, basic and
even z71v position_fix=1.
  5) I've tried adding :
  Code:
  [General]
  description = Headphones + Digital Output (S/PDIF)
  in the file "/usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/paths/iec958-stereo-output.conf"
  6) I've even tried a live USB stick with Ubuntu 19.04 (after reading
somewhere that this was fixed on 19.04), but I found out that there was no
sound on Ubuntu 19.04 as well.
