I have the same issue, about every second time when I resume from suspend then Xorg crashes and I am returned to the ligthdm login screen. I have alle the recent updates and I also already upgraded to the latest nvidia driver without success. I think this bug might be invalid. There is another bug which claims exacly the opposite thing. Also on my computer apport does not overwrite existing crash reports.
