[Touch-packages] [Bug 1479076] Re: Does not process %0A line feed symbol
Take a text buffer with more than a single line, copy the content and try launching the messaging-app with a URI, which contains the content of that buffer. I think tiagosh knows the format of the URI. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1515977] Re: Nexus4 Shell rotates inappropriately in windowed mode
I don't have the device, quote from IRC: (on Avila) > it's sortof focus > launch another app > and it flips shell to landscape > click on TG, and you're in portrait-shell > click on the lanscape app, and it stays portrait > auto-rotating in windowed mode is a bit broken, imho I can't give an example of a 'landscape app', but whoever has a larger screen can probably find one. Essentially: a) starting a new landscape app will flip to landscape mode (if shell was i portrait) but b) switching to (focusing) an already open landscape app will not (shell stays in portrait) Generalizing a bit, I also believe orientation requested in the .desktop file should be ignored (at least to some degree?) in windowed mode. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1515977 Title: Nexus4 Shell rotates inappropriately in windowed mode Status in The Avila project: Confirmed Status in canonical-pocket-desktop: New Status in Ubuntu UX: Fix Committed Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: In Progress Bug description: Install latest rc proposed on a nexus 4. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1472755] Re: corrupted double-linked list probably cause by telegram scope
You're a rockstar Michi, thank you for all this. We don't have mock data for this purpose, but you could run Telegram off this branch (README.md will quickly tell you how to, basically ./setup.sh -t desktop -d && ./setup.sh -t desktop -b will download deps and build it for you). The branch is a quite fresh contribution, but should at least allow you to sign in to Telegram, which would populate the database with your current Tg data. In turn, the scope should surface this data, and hopefully be more representative of a more natural use case (as opposed to being empty). If you decide to create this ppa, I could promote it in the Telegram feedback group, I'm sure we would have a bunch of helpful folks keen to install this to help pinpoint the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity-scope-mediascanner in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1472755 Title: corrupted double-linked list probably cause by telegram scope Status in Canonical System Image: Triaged Status in libqtelegram package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in unity-scope-mediascanner package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in unity-scopes-api package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: The Ubuntu Error Tracker has been receiving reports about a problem regarding unity-scope-mediascanner. I believe I may have found the source of the problem. When the scope is aggregated, the author assumed they can access results[0], which may not be true if: 1) the user is signed in 2) but has no messages whatsoever That'd mean the scope would crash for all users, who have set up Telegram account, but not really used it. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1488080] [NEW] Should not use generic contact avatar
Public bug reported: I'm not sure I'm filing the bug against the right package. The persistent notifications on vivid (phone) show a generic human/contact icon, if no avatar was specified. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1274095] Re: FilterGrid backed by FilterProxyModel renders wrong
This bug is 1.5 years old, unless you consider it important based on the description (which I hope is detailed enough), please feel free to drive the bug however you decide, thanks. If Unity8 is still using FilterGrid, I believe it would be worth investigating, but I currently don't have the capacity to help, I'm sorry :( ** Changed in: unity8 (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1274095 Title: FilterGrid backed by FilterProxyModel renders wrong Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: While working on a different bug I noticed that FilterGrid would occasionally not render properly when backed by LimitProxyModel. To give you an example: $ bzr branch -r657 lp:~unity-team/unity8/unity8-fix-filtergrid tests/qmltests/Components/tst_FilterGrid Wraps the fakeModel with LimitProxyModel, and sets that on the filterGrid as the backing model. $ make -C builddir tryFilterGrid Consdering collapsedRowCount: 2, columns: 3, now select "model count limit" value 4 (4 items shown, 3+1), then 1 (1 item shown), then 4 (*3* items shown, 3+0) -- second row should show one more item. Note that "rowsWhenCollapsed" displays value of 2, which would be correct (that would be the actual value of collapsedRowCount). Now select: 3 (3 items shown), then 4 (*4* items shown, 3+1) -- only now the behavior is correct! In other words, items displayed on the second row seem to "kick in" only after model grows while it previously filled up the whole first row (or, for that matter, you could generalize to the last row being visible in the FilterGrid, smaller than collapsedRowCount). As you see, changing the count of items in the model should not affect how many items FilterGrid shows (/renders). And even though rowsWhenCollapsed is calculated correctly, items are missing. Try selecting "model count limit" to 1, then 7. You'll only see 3. If you, however, set 3, then 7, you'll see 6! [Touch-packages] [Bug 1358294] Re: App .config not removed when app uninstalled
Hi all. Thank you for your constructive feedback on the bug. Regarding what mvo said ("But we could remove the cache data.") -- that is closer to the nature of this bug. We recognize there may be user data involved (that is, XDG_DATA_HOME). However, we believe .cache and .config directories could be safely removed. We understand that the decision of whether to keep user data (again, XDG_DATA_HOME) would certainly require design input and update to the application removal interface. Nevertheless, if you consider the user is *removing* the application and not *logging out* (where the latter would make sense to keep all 3 directories [data, config, cache]), removing .cache and .config would be the natural expectation of the user. And I'm saying that from purely user perspective, not a developer one. To summarize, we think that removing .cache and .config would be a natural thing to do and perhaps we could proceed with the fix, while we defer the matter of keeping/removing XDG_DATA_HOME of the app. In that case, if it's Google Drive, Instagram, or similar app, you documents/pictures are safe even if you remove the app, assuming the app has stored them in the right location. The things you loose are things like cached image thumbnails (which usually can be re-generated), custom layout options, ringtone selection and similar settings, which does not have any serious impact on user's app data, that is being removed. All of these are easy to recreate, assuming we leave the XDG_DATA_HOME, until we have a real UI/fix for it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to click in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1358294 Title: App .config not removed when app uninstalled Status in Ubuntu UX bugs: New Status in “click” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: If an app uses ~/.config/foo (say, uses Qt.labs.settings), and the user uninstalls the app, ~/.config/foo is not removed.
