[Touch-packages] [Bug 1527124] Re: Unable to rate, comment apps in Ubuntu-Store (Phone)

2016-01-21 Thread Michael Zukowski
Hi All, seems to be ok now. I tried it several months without success.
But when I tested it today, I was able to rate, comment and amend
entries. Thus, at least for me the problem is solved.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1474218] Re: Camera function does not save photos on SD card

Ugo, it gives me also a I/O error input/ output error. I cannot create
such a file on SD card. Also the directory "com.ubuntu.camera" does not
exist. The basic directory tree like "Pictures, Music etc." is
available...

P.S.: What I have noted: When choosing SD in the camera app, it looks
like the camera makes a picture, including virtual camera sound. But the
picture is a mentioned not saved to any location and after that I cannot
make another foto. The button of the camera app is without function.

Sorry, touch was overlooked by me. If I try to create "touch foo.txt",
it gives me the following message:

bash: touch: permission denied

I will try within the next few days another SD card.

2015-12-03 Thread Michael Zukowski
P.S.: A 'pictures' directory is availble on my SD card (also a download,
music folder etc), but no sub directory 'com.ubuntu.camera'. By the way,
I can see the folders on the sd card in the pre-installed "file-manager
app" (German: Dateiverwaltung) only, when I enter my "sudo" password.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1474218] Re: Camera function does not save photos on SD card

2015-12-02 Thread Michael Zukowski
@Bill, thanks, I just checked it again. The bug is still existing.

I use the SD card on my device for videos and mp3 files. So the card
should be ok. The file you have mentioned does not exist on my device. I
attache a log file which sounds at least similar...

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1474218] Re: Camera function does not save photos on SD card

2015-12-02 Thread Michael Zukowski
Hi Bill

I tried to create in /media/phablet/701E-57CS/Pictures/

cat > foo.txt

results in: foo.txt: Input/ Output error

Afterwards

>ls -lc foo.txt

results in: No such file or directory

I also searched /home/phablet/.cache/upstart/application-click-
com.ubuntu.camera_camera_.log, but negative. At least I confirm
that I update my device regular and therefor the camera app should be
the most recent release.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1436814] Re: Use a roaming indicator for each SIM on dual SIM phones

Use a roaming indicator for each SIM on dual SIM phones

Status in Ubuntu UX bugs:

Status in indicator-network package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
For dual SIM phones, the roaming indicator should be related to each SIM, by
having a R sign on the top of each signal strength indicator, or by having
the roaming indicator in red (or another color) or by having the indicator
blinking.
I live near a border, and I work on the other side of this border: I have 2
SIM's, one for each country. As the phone is sometime lazzy to connect each
SIM to the right operator as soon as it becomes available, when I switch from
one country to the another, I'm not able to check if both SIM are on the right
network: sometime, I place or I receive a call thinking I'm not in the roaming
mode... and it is not true.
The work around consists to go the the system settings of the phone to check
each SIM card and its associated operator.
Having an roaming indicator dedicated to each SIM could help: a quick glance
is enough to check the card status.

2015-06-03 Thread Michael Zukowski
In my case I have to activate roaming to obtain mobile internet access,
even in my home network. I use dual sim with a German and Ukrainian Sim.
In Germany I have to activate roaming even with my German card.
Additional SIM 1+2 is always mixed up in the unlocking dialogue.
