[Touch-packages] [Bug 1129941] Re: Ubuntu cups printer on Ricoh MP C2501 non-stop multiple copy printing
You're welcome. Pleased to be able to assist with the development of Linux. Since reporting this bug, we have upgraded to the newer versions of Xubuntu and consequently the cups package that comes with them. I am happy to confirm that the bug has not resurfaced. Thank you for your help. However, since upgrading to Ubuntu 12.10, in the last month or so, if more than one copy of a document is specified in, for example Libreoffice, document viewer, the Gimp or any other software, the Ricoh MP C2501 does not stop printing even when it reaches the number of copies specified. In other words, if two copies are specified, the printing will not stop until the printer is forcibly shut down. This happens in multiple versions of Ubuntu 12.10, that is, including Lubuntu 12.10 and Linux Mint 14. I suspect the latest version of cups because when Ubuntu 12.10 was initially installed there were no problems with multiple-copy printing. Non-stop printing of mulitple copies appeared only in the last month or so --- at most two months. There is no problem with single-copy printing. I just finished testing with Ubuntu 12.04 and there is no problem. Please look into this. Thanks. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1453366] Re: 15.04 (Xubuntu, Lubuntu) cannot recognize some DVDs
I forgot to add the following: I have the latest version of libdvdread4 installed. I ran the install-css.sh script in all instances. I also installed the xubuntu or lubuntu restricted extras. No problems in 14.04 but not 15.04. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to libdvdread in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1453366 Title: 15.04 (Xubuntu, Lubuntu) cannot recognize some DVDs Status in libdvdread package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I tested this in Xubuntu and Lubuntu 15.04 and then in Xubuntu 14.04. Xubuntu 14.04 recognized ALL the problem DVDs that 15.04 could not recognize. I tried using upstart at boot instead of systemd, the problem still persisted in 15.04. Sometimes, if I reboot using systemd with the DVD already inserted, the DVD is loaded. However, if I eject the DVD and re-insert it, it cannot be recognized again. However, one or two particularly stubborn DVDs still could not be recognized even with a reboot. Again, though, 14.04 had no problem recognizing these stubborn DVDs. I have tested, so far, about 30 original DVDs. 4 or 5 showed this problem in 15.04. Xubuntu 14.04 had no problems with these 4 or 5. I first posted this problem in the Ubuntu forums and at least one other user experienced the same problem (including flash drive recognition problems - I did not test this and, for me, no problems to date). http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2276987 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libdvdread/+bug/1453366/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
