[Touch-packages] [Bug 1351212] [NEW] Store scope should use network caching

To resolve the issue of the search not timing out properly when
  completed, https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~unity-team/unity-scope-
click/devel/revision/232 was made to call finished() on the search.
However, it is still possible that the pointer may be getting leaked,
by behind held somewhere, which is keeping the pointer in scope, and
  thus not finishing automatically.

This needs to be investigated, so we avoid leaking the pointer when a
  search is performed.

"Dekko" cannot be seen in the Internet->mail category. Flashback is
another app that seems to be missing from the Sound & Video section.

There are several departments shown which are empty and I suspect they
  are missing apps as well.

By manual searching for these by app names, they are returned in the
search results indicating they are present in the stores.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1343129] Re: Department names are not translatable

2014-07-17 Thread Pawel Stolowski
All these names are coming from the server and are based on the locale
that are passed with each query. All translations will be kept on the
server (they currently only handle EN afaik). The only department name
that's kept client side is "All departments", and it should be
translatable.

Status in “unity-scope-click” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Not sure if it's related to bug 1342924 (as far as I can tell, it
isn't), and if "deparments" is the right name for them, but neither
the deparment names ("Universal access", "Office", "Themes & Tweaks",
etc.) nor any of the associated sections ("Top Apps", "Top Games",
"Travel Apps", etc.) appear to be translatable.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1340195] Re: Ubuntu store canned query doesn't always reflect Apps search query

2014-07-14 Thread Pawel Stolowski
** Summary changed:

- Canned queries: search string replaced with an entry from history on
activation
+ Ubuntu store canned query doesn't always reflect Apps search query

** Summary changed:

- Ubuntu store canned query doesn't always reflect Apps search query
+ Ubuntu store canned query doesn't always reflect Apps search

** Description changed:

- It looks like when canned query is executed and it goes to a different
- scope, then the search string carried by it gets replaced with the first
- entry of search history. Image #129.
+ Search string carried by canned query of the orange "Ubuntu Store" item
+ doesn't match current Apps search and instead it's the 1st search
+ entered in Apps.

  Step to reproduce:
- 1) Reboot the phone to have clean history
- 2) Go to Apps
- 3) Slowly type "Book"
+ 1) Go to Apps
+ 2) Slowly type "Book"
  4) Click on the orange "Ubuntu store" icon (which should say "Search for
'Book') - you should be carried to the store.
- 5) Reveal search box to see what was the search query - it says "B" (should
be "Book"). Also search results are incorrect (like if "B" was entered - this
can be verified by executing search manually by typing "B" and "Book" and
comparing the results).
+ 5) Reveal search box to see what was the search query - it says "B" (should
be "Book").
