[Touch-packages] [Bug 1925379] Re: Auto-Correct does not work since upgrade to Hirsute

2021-04-22 Thread Rico Tzschichholz
I can confirm this issue and it is caused by the current gtk+-3.0
package.

Running with gtk+-3.0 3.24.28+git fixes the issue locally for me.

Please try to confirm you are actually using the official opencv
packages for Ubuntu 18.04 aka "libbopencv-videoio3.2" and not
"libopencv-video2.4v5", which is a build of opencv from Ubuntu 16.04.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1715931] Re: Update to exiv2 version 0.27

Bug description:
  0.26 was released in April

  http://www.exiv2.org/whatsnew.html

"This release contains a large collection of new features, new lenses
and bugfixes across all areas of Exiv2. "

Presumably debian stretch freeze interfered with a prompter update

  Currently in debian exp here:

  https://packages.debian.org/experimental/exiv2

I was hoping to to get a new feature release of the very popular
Digikam (5.7.0) into artful under a FFE, but that has bumped the
  minimum exiv2 build depend from 0.25 -> 0.26.

If due to rdeps etc an update in artful turns out not to be possible,
I would like to target this for early in 18.04 LTS cycle.

Unfortunately, despite the warning in the PPA description for

It works on all other releases and on Precise/x86-64. I did test

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1526373] Re: [Merge] gettext 0.19.6-1 from debian unstable

2015-12-15 Thread Rico Tzschichholz
https://launchpad.net/~ricotz/+archive/ubuntu/staging/+sourcepub/5776623
/+listing-archive-extra

gettext (0.19.6-1ubuntu1) xenial; urgency=low

  * Merge from Debian unstable. Remaining changes:
- Allow the package to cross-build.
- Define a stage1 profile to build without java and git.
- Explicitly configure with --disable-csharp.
- Drop autopoint recommends of gettext. It pulls in git and
other sizable packages which make the CDs explode.
- gettext-el: Add an alternative dependency on emacs24.

gettext (0.19.6-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.
  * Drop debian/patches/03-fix-gettextize-version. No longer needed.
  * Drop dependency of gettext-base on libasprintf0v5 as it dates from
a split made in release 0.18.1.1-6.
  * Keep curl and friends in Recommends, for translators.
Move autopoint, libasprintf-dev and libgettextpo-dev to Suggests.
  * Downgrade libasprintf0v5 to optional.
  * Add debian/upstream/signing-key.asc and improve debian/watch file.
  * Makefile.in.in has now a general mechanism to set the header of
a POT file, using $(DOMAIN).pot-update. This could be used to set
copyright holders and other things. Closes: #682580.
  * Fix po-mode handling of msgfmt version number. Closes: #798903.
  * Drop Pre-Depends on multiarch-support, because a stable release
has already happened.

gettext (0.19.5.1-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.
  * New C++ ABI. libasprintf0c2 becomes libasprintf0v5.
Thanks a lot to Matthias Klose. Closes: #793897.
  * Add patches/03-fix-gettextize-version to avoid FTBFS bugs on
packages using autopoint and friends. See bug-gettext for details.

Bug description:
There's currently a trend of application developers to provide
multiple .desktops for their apps in order to get to different parts
of the app (for example private browsing in a web browser). One
possible way to fulfill that need without needing multiple .desktops
littered around would be to have popular search-based launchers also
search through quicklist items in a .desktop. In this way, power users
who need quick access to those other functions can have them without
littering menus or grids with extra icons.

It's also important to note that many apps already use Quicklist items
this way (as that's the designed use); adding the ability to search
them would be an improvement to everyone as it'd expose those
quicklist items via keyboard rather than requiring users to right-
  click on the launcher item.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1475623]

2015-08-04 Thread Rico Tzschichholz
commit f9d2b4a70b8fd11a5c1d399ce8f4d50ea60e7fbc
Author: Robert Ancell
Date: Fri Jul 24 16:14:11 2015 +1200

Fix tests crashing with GCC 5.1

The tests were using a c_str() result from a std::string that had gone out
of
scope. GCC 5.1 seems to be more agressive in freeing the string data before
the tests checked against it.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 518056] Re: cedilla appears as accented c (ć instead of ç) when typing 'c

2015-04-01 Thread Rico Tzschichholz
@gunnarhj: The syntax of cedilla-brazil.sh is erroneous.

--
You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu

Title:
cedilla appears as accented c (ć instead of ç) when typing 'c

Status in central project for keyboard configuration:
  Confirmed
Status in gtk+2.0 package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in language-selector package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in libx11 package in Ubuntu:
  New
Status in xkeyboard-config package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:

When typing in a US-international keyboard with dead-keys (or
UK-international),
typing 'c results in an accented c instead of a cedilla.

There is a workaround, which is editing the

  /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/immodule-files.d/libgtk2.0-0.immodules

  file and changing the line

  "cedilla" "Cedilla" "gtk20" "/usr/share/locale"
  "az:ca:co:fr:gv:oc:pt:sq:tr:wa"

  to

  "cedilla" "Cedilla" "gtk20" "/usr/share/locale"
  "az:ca:co:fr:gv:oc:pt:sq:tr:wa:en"

(add the 'en' at the end).

However, every time some update on this file is applied, one looses the
change,
and we get back to the accented c. That means having to modify the file again,
  logout and login.

For me this is no problem. But for my brother, mom, dad, etc, it is always
something
that at least makes me less proud of having convinced them to use Ubuntu,
because
they don't know what to do each time this happens.

I think we really need a configurable keyboard layout, or at least (and that
would
be very easy), the inclusion of alternate layouts on install that for the
dead-key
options (as US-deadkey and UK-deakey), alternate layouts as
US-deadkey-cedilla.

This change is relevant for at least Portuguese and French.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1313996] Re: [MIR] Tracker

2014-08-22 Thread Rico Tzschichholz
ricotz: saw your comments on launchpad -
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1313996 - will do a stable release of
tracker now to help you guys out

So there is a new 1.0.3 release now

--
You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu
Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to tracker in Ubuntu.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1313996

Title:
  [MIR] Tracker

Status in Ubuntu GNOME:
  New
Status in “tracker” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Availability: Currently in universe, builds on all arches. Consists of
a trivial diff from the debian packaging.

Rationale: Nautilus has an optional tracker module which provides
indexing and system file search. Currently this is disabled since
tracker is in universe and nautilus in main. This provides a core
functionally for the GNOME desktop, in that file searching from the
overview only works if nautilus is built with the tracker module.

Quality Assurance: Package does not require configuration, and does
not ask any debconf questions. It is well supported upstream with the
stable tracker 1.0 release having been made recently (which will sync
  from debian this cycle)

  Security: No know CVE's

UI Standards: The only GUI part is completely option and a Suggests.
Tracker is largely integrated into the various GNOME components

Dependencies: All dependencies are in Main already

Standards Compliance: currently compliant with 3.9.4

Maintenance: Ubuntu GNOME team will provide maintenance beyond what is
required after merging debian packages etc.

Additional Info: tracker is only seeded on Ubuntu GNOME. building
nautilus with tracker support would add libtracker-sparql-0.16-0 to
  the other desktop seeds.

  ProblemType: Bug
  DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.10
  Package: tracker 1.0.0-1ubuntu1~trusty1 [origin:
LP-PPA-gnome3-team-gnome3-staging]
  ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-24.46-generic 3.13.9
  Uname: Linux 3.13.0-24-generic x86_64
  NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia
  ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3
  Architecture: amd64
  CurrentDesktop: GNOME
  Date: Tue Apr 29 12:39:58 2014
InstallationDate: Installed on 2012-09-23 (583 days ago)
InstallationMedia: Ubuntu GNOME Remix 12.10 "Quantal Quetzal" - Alpha
amd64(20120922)
  SourcePackage: tracker

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1313996] Re: [MIR] Tracker

2014-07-16 Thread Rico Tzschichholz
There is no real rpath usage at all, it is just caused by a pretty
outdated way to initialize the buildsystem which pulls in the rpath
definitions.
