Since I upgraded to 16.04, my display does not always come up when I
boot. The grub land display comes up for selection of what to boot, then
after choosing, the display goes blank.  I can hear when system loads to
logon page because system makes the alert sound for when that page comes
up, but my screen continues to be blank.  I am guessing that this has
something to do with lightdm, but I have very little skills for delving
into such issues.  Sometimes I can close the laptop lib and open it,
then display will come on, but this is not always the case:
