Starting chrome with LIBGL_DRI3_DISABLE=1 definitely seems to make a
difference, it is now blazingly fast. Do you know if there is any
general solution planned?

  When returning from suspend, my external Apple monitor is not

I am on an X1 Carbon, third generation (20BS006BMD) running
3.19.0-12-generic and can confirm that the button issue *is* fixed for
me, and I do *not* have any problems with WiFi.
