[Touch-packages] [Bug 1464917] Re: reboot hangs at 'Reached target Shutdown'
@monochromec, David's bug appears to be here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1640200 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1464917 Title: reboot hangs at 'Reached target Shutdown' Status in systemd: Invalid Status in systemd package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: This bug is resolved. Do not follow up to this bug. Shutdown bugs are specific to the software installed and its configuration. If you are experiencing a shutdown hang, please file a separate bug report and follow the debugging instructions described in the "Debugging boot/shutdown problems" section of /usr/share/doc/systemd/README.Debian.gz to check if there are any hanging jobs at shutdown. Capturing a screen photo of "journalctl -b" in the rescue shell might be enlightening. [Original report] I rebooted my 15.04 system, and found it hanging indefinitely at the plymouth shutdown screen. Hitting esc to reveal the console showed a normal set of shutdown messages, ending with 'Reached target Shutdown' (paraphrased from memory). The system never rebooted on its own. I had to use SysRq to finish the shutdown. This bug is affecting my Dell 7010 desktop machine, after a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.10. Never had this problem during testing. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1520568] Re: All queries fails when 'google' is used: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR
Thanks, Dino !!! I've been fighting this battle for a few days under Chromium 45 (same as other's problems above - and more). Upgrading to "47.0.2526.73 (Developer Build) Ubuntu 16.04 (32-bit)" restored my Chromium install to sanity. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1377877] Re: tracker-miner-fs was used more CPU, Memory and made system hang on sometimes
Vivid test machine started performing horribly, this week, after an incremental update -- 80-90% CPU load -- HDD constantly churning -- HDD LED lit-up solid, RAM/SWAP maxed out, et cetera. Chromium browser would "Aw, Snap!" immediately upon opening. Firefox was usable, but extremely 'laggy'. Changing the "tracker" settings via dconf-editor had no affect whatsoever. Purging “tracker” 1.2.2-2ubuntu2 et. al. restored my Vivid test machine to normal operation.
