Same problem for me with Lubuntu 18.04 System freezes at random times. Screen 
is then completely filled with non-sens signs. Graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce 
6150SE nForce 430. Driver is Nouveau.

Thank you for your answer.

As it happens, the bug stopped some time after I reloaded the grub files a few 
weeks ago. 
Since then a number of patches have been edited which may have also corrected 
the problem. 
I really don't know what happened but now I can enjoy Ubuntu without fearing a 
crash.

I had no temperature problems.

hi
tks for your mail. I got after" sudo tail-f/var/log/syslolog" the answer
"commande introuvable" which means command not found. I don't know what to
do specially now when the printer not only doesn't print when I want to
but print all the pc files automatically, when connected, without me asking
for it!!! It is Kafka. I am considering either using the printer only for
copyworks or turning back to windows with much regrets

My OS was in a virtual machine (virtualbox).
I tried directly on the host (with same OS) and the behaviour is correct...

to see the warning logo again. Then it stays. Also if you don't release the 
caps lock key it stays displayed.
  Why can't it be persistent after pressing/releasing the caps lock key the 
first time?

  Is this the "correct" behaviour? Or is my system configuration guilty?
  If it is the expected behaviour I must say this can lead to incorrect 
interpretation for non-IT users, the caps lock warning should be displayed 
right after the caps lock key is pressed/released.

it doesn't matter the keyboard layout.
I'm using the French fr-latin9 layout but it also happens in qwerty GB layout.

I don't use the GNOME desktop, so I haven't Unity (I use Fluxbox).

I'll try with the guest session and keep you updated but since it
already happens in the login screen (lightdm-gtk-greeter) as well, I
think it can already be considered as a bug.

Well I don't use the guest session at all.

But I can tell you it happens in all of my sessions (root and users).
It also happens in the login screen (LightDM Greeter).

(in fact in anything that uses libgtk-3-0 and displays a password field)

The component having the issue is libgtk-3-0 (3.10.8-0ubuntu1.6).
It concerns a feature which was initially added in version 2.16: showing an 
alert icon when using the caps lock.

Enclosed are 3 screenshots of an application using libgtk3. The field is
a password field.

- caps_lock_key_pressed_not_released shows the state when I presse the caps 
lock key but I don't release it (and I mean the caps lock, not the shift key!)
- caps_lock_key_pressed_and_released shows the state after releasing the caps 
lock key (of course you don't keep it pressed). You see that the warning logo 
disappear. It must stay instead
- first_letter_in_captital shows that de warning logo comes back and stays (as 
long as you don't press the caps lock a second time) but only after you've 
pressed the first key (letter, etc.)

This behaviour happens also in the middle of a password. Not just for
the first character.

My two parrots systems (two differents cars) are detected & I can lauch the 
pairing procedure
The parrot start pairing and waiting for 4 digit password from E4,5.

Nothing more, aquaris is in pairing procedure, don't tell about
password, after a moment, the parrot cancel the pairing.

The two Parrot are in the memory of E4,5 and can't be forgot (inactive
button)

Hello anupam, I don't have yout issue, very strange.

I'm not ubuntu touch os specialist, but maybe your camera binary was not
deleted when you accidentaly uninstall it, only the shortcut on main
screen ? When you have reinstalled the system encountered the old
version and put it also in the main scope ?

Do you have reinstalled this app after ota9 update or before ? for me it
was in OTA 8,5.

Maybe look with apt-cache search camera-app if you have the both app
with different version number ? If yes you can choose to uninstall the
one you don't want, with one linux command like this "apt-get uninstall
camera-appX"

Possibly another solution using apps like "tweakgeek" or "ubuntu touch
tweak tool".

Very bad solution, you look for the location of the apps with "find /
-name "camera"" in the terminal, look for the main app folder, look for
the oldest version and delete it and refresh main scope or reboot, maybe
the unliked app diseapear, but at your own risk :-(

I've put the .deb camera app if it can help anyone to manually
reinstall.

Hi Marc,
I was thinking that bug had been corrected with OTA7. It was a funny bug that 
occured when I set my gmail account. My gmail contact were downloaded normaly 
on my mobile (Meizu MX4). Later I mistaken by creating again the same account. 
The mobile did not refuse the account and downloaded my contact again. 
Honestly, I cleaned my contacts and stop investigation. Actually I don't 
remember if the contacts where duplicated in gmail or not, but I guess that 
problem does not exists

In my case, contacts are duplicated 2, 3 or even 5 times in extreme cases.  
Hower, there are not duplicated in Google.
It noticed this since latest OTA (8).  I have BQ Aquaris E5.
I wonder how to get out of this mess.

Title:
  GPS and location detection not working on Nexus 4

  Mako with MultiROM, utopic r239

  None of the apps I have tried including Weather, Google maps, OSM
  Touch and SensorStatus are able to use the phone's GPS. The
  SensorStatus app actually reports "Found supported backend", but finds
  no position or other GPS data.

  Location detection on the other hand is doing something, but it is
  really far off when it comes to determining the actual location of the
  device. The Weather app suggests my location as Vänsjö, Jämtland,
  which is about 400 km north of Stockholm where I am at. OSM Touch
  reports "no location available" and Google maps "Your location could
  not be determined"

  I don't know if the GPS has to "waken up" somehow, but it has not
  shown any form of life for me on Ubuntu Touch, even though it works
  perfectly fine when booting the phone as Android.

Repaired the missing system cofiguration by suggestion from internet; sudo 
apt-get install gnome-control-center. from Ubuntu software centre installed 
Energy (Gnome2/Gnome classic ?) and Systems funtioned again.
