[Touch-packages] [Bug 1587131] [NEW] 4-Way Handshake failed" connecting Wi-Fi after boot or suspend; retrying repeatedly eventually succeeds

2016-05-30 Thread marco.pallotta
Public bug reported:

This is in someway related to bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/931303 that is
that this last was marked by fix-released (maybe related to just Broadcom
BCM4321 wl) but it's still present and it's not related to one card rather than
another.
This bug is present, for example, in Ubuntu 12.04 and Intel Corporation
PRO/Wireless 3945ABG as well as in both Ubuntu 14.04 and 16.04 and Realtek
RTL8723BE PCIe Wireless Network Adapter (full bios update).
Rebooting the router fix the issue immediately (this bug is only present in my
linux machines and not in any android or Windows mobile devices).

[Touch-packages] [Bug 931303] Re: "4-Way Handshake failed" connecting Wi-Fi after boot; retrying repeatedly eventually succeeds -- Broadcom BCM4321 wl

2016-02-05 Thread marco.pallotta
The bus is still present in 12.04 (Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG ).
After some attemps (from some minutes to many and many minutes) the connection
succeeds else if I restart the router all goes ok (but only linux sistems are
affected by this issues, no android or windows smartphone/laptop or my kindle
device suffer by this problem).

Title:
"4-Way Handshake failed" connecting Wi-Fi after boot; retrying
repeatedly eventually succeeds -- Broadcom BCM4321 wl

Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
I have a Dell Inspiron 1720, Ubuntu 11.10, the Broadcom STA driver
  installed.

When starting ubuntu, the wireless doesn't connect and the message in
the syslog is "4-Way Handshake failed - pre-shared key may be
  incorrect".

I managed to make it work, sometimes by chance. Sometimes I stop the
connection, kill wpa_supplicant and then try again and it works. If it
works once, I can put the computer to sleep, move to another place and
connect to a different network without a problem.

(ovbiously the document has smaller characters because of the scaling but the
first characters weren't yet printed)
  2) to force A4 margin adding the to file -> print setup -> paper size ->
manage custom sizes (I added a 2 inches of left margin) but it seems that this
config is ignored during the printing.

I made these tests with Ubuntu Hardy and with two different printer
(but always with the same pdf doc) and the results are the same.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1333685] Re: XORG Idle Channel

2014-09-02 Thread marco.pallotta
I have this problem in 12.04 LTS too, after upgrading to HWE kernel and
always happens when I launch virtualbox (downloaded from virtualbox site
as the one packaged with ubuntu doesn't run anymore after the above
upgrade).

My VGA controller is NVIDIA Corporation G72 [GeForce 7200 GS / 7300 SE]
