[Touch-packages] [Bug 1822156] Re: Cannot parse m3u8 playlist
Hello, It works noW. I just noticed that Totem now plays well the m3u8 file. I have upgraded this Ubuntu 21.10 and also tested Pipewire (pipewiresrc) as recording source for Gstreamer. I have no clear explanation why the m3u8 works now. Maybe the updates? Thank you. Hello, Yes, it is long time since I filed this report. I am now using Ubuntu 21.10 (daily version). I tried to play the file in Totem, but it does not understand the format (or Gstreamer is missing a plugin for it). I have installed the ubuntu-restricted-extras package. Re: [Touch-packages] [Bug 1779237] Re: package python3 3.6.5-3ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: installed python3 package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 4
Hello, I got the same Python3 upgrade error. Prior that, I had installed the very latest hplip-3.18.6 from a .run file. I did also install the hplip-3.18.6-plugin.run file. Reason for this is another bug in the hplip package. Please see: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hplip/+bug/1714659 The default hplip does not work in Ubuntu 18.04 with the GNOME-desktop environment. For example the "simple-scan" application did not start becuse of the systray error in hplip. I tried to alleviate this (systray + app exit) error by installing the hplip from source. It did not help, but I finally managed to disable the hplip`s use of systray. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1679535] [NEW] ! Cannot connect to internet in Ubuntu 17.04 (DNS Lookup fails)
Public bug reported: Hello, I think this is a bug in the WIFI-driver or kernel. Ubuntu is connected to the WIFI (router) box, but it cannot find DNS server to get to the internet. I have periodically *serious* problems with WIFI in Ubuntu 17.04. The network icon shows "connected" to the router and internet, but browsers and other attempts to get data report DNS error / or not connected. This happens in all flavours of Ubuntu 17.04 (Ubuntu, Ubuntu GNOME etc.). Same laptop with Ubuntu 16.10 works flawlessly. The connection works fine after I reboot (power off/on) the router box. Re-hi, I made a small fix to the aptsources module (locally on my laptop). Aptsources comes from the python-apt package. $ apt-get source python-apt $ cd python-apt-1.0.1build1/ $ cd aptsources/ # Edit sourceslist.py file. # Add a make_unique(self, l) function to the SourcesList class. # Then call make_unique from the refresh() function. # This will remove duplicate lines while maintaining sort order of the list. Hello, I noticed this bug when re-compiling audio-recorder for Ubuntu 14.10. Ref: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~osmoma/audio-recorder/trunk/view/head:/src/media-profiles.c I also tried the avenc_aac from the gstreamer1.0-libav package but the recorded file content (test.aac) got bad. gst-launch-1.0 -e pulsesrc ! queue ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! avenc_aac compliance=-2 ! filesink location=test.aac It records, but file content is bad. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1299376] Re: FAAC is missing, libgstfaac.so is not present in any package
Sorry for spamming you with this, but I want to make the pipeline right. The pipeline works fine with avenc_aac and avmux_mp4 (or ex. avmux_mov) : $ gst-launch-1.0 -e pulsesrc device=alsa_output.pci-_00_1b.0.analog-stereo.monitor ! queue ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! avenc_aac compliance=-2 ! avmux_mp4 ! filesink location=test.mp4 Also the default input-device was by default set to this laptop's internal microphone (and was impossible to change in sound settings), therefore I use the device=xxx parameter. $ pactl list | grep -A2 'Source #' | grep 'Name: ' | cut -d -f2 What is the right name; gstreaemer-libav or gstreaemer-plugins-libav?
