This was marked resolved. The report of its reappearance in Ubuntu
19.04 and 19.10 has not been acknowledged.

This was working for me in 18.10, but a fresh install of 19.04 and
19.10 show that it is back. The password is saved when the option to
save passwords is selected, but the username must be entered manually
  upon connection.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1857809] [NEW] Cisco AnyConnect (VPN) username is not remembered

2019-12-29 Thread tellapu
Public bug reported:

On Ubuntu 19.10 (and previous versions) with openconnect 8.02-1build1,
network-manager-openconnect and network-manager-openconnect-gnome
1.2.4-2ubuntu1 and libopenconnect5 8.02-1build1:
The username is not saved although "save passwords" is chosen.
When I connect to a Cisco AnyConnect VPN profile from the Network Manager it
shows the connect to VPN dialog window, the password was saved and is
automatically added to the field (from a previous connection) but the username
has to be added every time the VPN is started.
Is this a bug or just the way it is?
Can this be changed?
If yes, how?
Thanks for any help in advance!
(This problem is also reported here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openconnect/+bug/1857808)

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1103593] Re: Unity always shows all devices in launcher when CD is inserted

Title:
Unity always shows all devices in launcher when CD is inserted

Status in Unity:
  Confirmed
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
In Ubuntu 12.10 the default behavior when inserting a CD (or a USB
memory stick, etc.) is to add a list of mounted devices to the
launcher. This takes up a lot of extra space for me as I usually have
several Samba mounts. Furthermore, I don't need or want to see my CD
  in the launcher.

I can click right on the mounted devices and select "Unlock from
launcher", but the next time I insert a CD they're back. Disabling
this "feature" should be an option in 12.10. I believe it was an
option in 12.04 via CCSM. Thanks.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1475942] [NEW] Unity Notifcation Daemon does not support buttons

2015-07-18 Thread tellapu
Public bug reported:

Desktop Unity Notification Daemon does not support buttons, not like almost
other desktops (see attachment). The possibility to add buttons for the
developer of software would be really helpful.
E.g. Roger (http://en.tabos.org/home) a tool for the VOIP/SIP-Router Fritzbox
shows incoming calls and the notification gives you the options to Accept,
Decline, Cancel or Ok the call. But as the unity notification daemon does not
support buttons roger falls back to the not elegant GTK-window.
It would be great and helpful if the notification daemon would have the options
for buttons. According to this bug report
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ux/+bug/1384730) Unity8 will have it,
hopefully also the desktop versions.

[Touch-packages] [Bug 1101037] Re: Rubbish bin (trash) launcher icon should be unlockable

2015-06-17 Thread tellapu
Thanks for generating this bug report. It is a pity the importance is only low.
Reading the comments on this AU post, dating back to 2011 (!) this is really a
need:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/37776/how-can-i-remove-the-trash-icon-from-the-unity-launcher
I guess many more would have written the same.
The user should be allowed to move and delete the trash icon.
Thanks for any work on this in advance!

Bug description:
At the moment, the Rubbish bin icons is locked to the launcher by
  default.

Some people don't need such access to the rubbish bin.

This icon should have the option "Unlock from Launcher" in its
quicklist so people who don't find it useful can make some space in
  their launcher.

As this icon is not really an app, maybe it would be more suitable to
be able to enable or disable them from System Settings -> Appearance,
  CCSM or gconf-editor.
