That version is no more supported; and backport is not expected as its not a 'security' problem

I am trying to play a MIDI file. The file plays fine using timidity, so I don't believe the file itself is corrupted. I hear different problems on each playing of the file. Sometimes the file plays totally silently and sometimes there are extra spurious notes playing over the tune. I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and I invoked Totem by clicking on the MIDI file (after clicking on Places and selecting the directory with the file in). lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS Release: 10.04 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: alsa-base 1.0.22.1+dfsg-0ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-42.95-generic 2.6.32.59+drm33.24 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-42-generic i686 AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.21.
