ALT-TAB (or SUPER-TAB) from WIN1 and WIN2 3. press ALT twice: to bring up the HUD and to hide it back 4. the focus is now on WIN2, although it is still below WIN1 5. press ALT twice again: the focus is back to WIN1 If you try to repeat the ALT-ALT trick, the focus is not moved away anymore after that. If you change focus with mouse (via launcher or by clicking inside other window), everything is fine. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version.
