I do suspect it is because of the automatic distribution setting in /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/50unattended-upgrades or the setting of the corresponding variables: "${distro_id}:${distro_codename}-updates" When this line is set manually to "Ubuntu:raring-updates", it will work.
