[Touch-packages] [Bug 1403205] Re: Gallery does not handle .gif files
Gallery seems to ignore photo files that do not have a proper metadata or that are not using one of the formats supported by QImageWriter. I am proposing a MR that makes gallery display those files, but since the editing options (rotate, crop, auto enhance) seem not work at all on files that are not supported by QImageWriter, I am disabling the editing options for those files. ** Changed in: gallery-app (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Arthur Mello (artmello) ** Changed in: gallery-app Assignee: (unassigned) => Arthur Mello (artmello) ** Changed in: gallery-app Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: gallery-app (Ubuntu) Status: New => In Progress ** Branch linked: lp:~artmello/gallery-app/gallery-app-handle_gif_files -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to gallery-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1403205 Title: Gallery does not handle .gif files Status in Gallery App: In Progress Status in gallery-app package in Ubuntu: In Progress Bug description: Gallery app does not display .gif files on the collection. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1403205] Re: Gallery does not handle .gif files
Also seems gallery doesn't handle .svg files. When downloading files from content-hub we should present a error dialog to the user saying we don't support the file. Or better yet, we should change our content-hub registration to only advertise file types that we support. ** Changed in: gallery-app Importance: Undecided => High ** Also affects: gallery-app (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gallery-app (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to gallery-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1403205 Title: Gallery does not handle .gif files Status in Gallery App: New Status in gallery-app package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Gallery app does not display .gif files on the collection.
