Title:
Event notification fired on event time not before

Status in Calendar application for Ubuntu devices:
  New
Status in indicator-datetime package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Create an event at 2:00.
Reminder set to 5 minutes before the event.

Wait until 1:55 - nothing happens
Wait until 2:00 - notification for event...

No matter what the time of the reminder is set to - it is always fired on the
exact time of the event.
Which is too late in most of the cases.

  Using a synced google calendar.
  Calender version: 0.4.600 (05. Mar 2015)

Ok, thanks alot!

Just to make sure. The bug you linked to was about something else in the bug
description.
The bug I'm describing was then mentioned in the comments later on.

Charles Kerr wrote on 2015-02-11:
This looks like it might be two related but separate issues. [...]

So both of the problems have been fixed? Even the one that was not part
of the original bug but then was mentioned in the comments?

Sorry to bother you. Just want to make sure that nothing gets lost.
I know that sometimes it is hard to have every small detail in mind while
managing bugs.

Thanks for your good work (to everyone involved) :)

@Christopher, I think your issue is the one that got resolved, the
service got support to give reminders at the specified time, the
remaining part/second described issue is that the calendar application
default value is not optimal

thanks, that's already reported as bug #1419001 and should be fixed in
the new vivid serie (which the next ota update should be based on)

** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1419001
Reminders trigger at the time of the event and not before by default
