[Touch-packages] [Bug 1534191] Re: video replay should resume after user confirms high volume
I don't understand what this has to do with indicator-sound. Wouldn't exactly the same problem exist if we had no sound indicator at all? I gave my opinion on what the media player should do in bug 1504065, but I'm not involved with the design of that app. ** Changed in: indicator-sound (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to mediaplayer-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1534191 Title: video replay should resume after user confirms high volume Status in indicator-sound package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Status in mediaplayer-app package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: A followup to bug #1504065 suggested by davmor2 in #phablet. charles, jhodapp: with silo 46 I have an issue. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1534191] Re: video replay should resume after user confirms high volume
My biggest issue with this is that if you watch videos as a commuter you will be hit by this issue every day which doesn't make for a great user experience. If the tapping on yes were to continue playback then the video plays as the user would expect, I think this then become a more user friendly way of dealing with the issue. ** Changed in: indicator-sound (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: mediaplayer-app (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to mediaplayer-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1534191 Title: video replay should resume after user confirms high volume Status in indicator-sound package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in mediaplayer-app package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: A followup to bug #1504065 suggested by davmor2 in #phablet. charles, jhodapp: with silo 46 I have an issue. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1534191] Re: video replay should resume after user confirms high volume
As a followup to davmor2's suggestion, you could actually resume playback whenever the dialog is dismissed. When the warning pops up, indicator-sound also clamps the sink input's volume back to one notch below the warning level. So even if the user hits "Cancel" instead of "OK", we're always legal when the dialog is dismissed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to mediaplayer-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1534191 Title: video replay should resume after user confirms high volume Status in indicator-sound package in Ubuntu: New Status in mediaplayer-app package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: A followup to bug #1504065 suggested by davmor2 in #phablet. charles, jhodapp: with silo 46 I have an issue.
