[Touch-packages] [Bug 1599297] Re: One should be able to request the URL for a specific crash report
** Changed in: apport (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to apport in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1599297 Title: One should be able to request the URL for a specific crash report Status in Apport: New Status in apport package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: As I said in Bug #1599295, when one submits a crash report and it for some reason fails to open a browser tab/window with the reporting bit one is unable to find the URL to go to as Apport just silently fails (though does log something to syslog). So I think that as well as the other bug being fixed, it would be really good if one could specify a crash signature or a .crash file and then ask Apport to provide the URL to the uploaded contents where one can then properly report the crash in question (perhaps this could be done by a command-line option or something). I am running Ubuntu GNOME 16.04 with GNOME 3.20. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1599297] Re: One should be able to request the URL for a specific crash report
The crash was reported to errors.ubuntu.com since the crash was sent from a release which is not in development. whoopsie, which sends the crash reports to the Error Tracker does log the OOPS ID, so you could then go to http://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/$OOPSID to find your crash. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to apport in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1599297 Title: One should be able to request the URL for a specific crash report Status in Apport: New Status in apport package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: As I said in Bug #1599295, when one submits a crash report and it for some reason fails to open a browser tab/window with the reporting bit one is unable to find the URL to go to as Apport just silently fails (though does log something to syslog). Your crash may have been reported to https://errors.ubuntu.com/ instead of to Launchpad directly. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ErrorTracker ** No longer affects: ubuntu-gnome -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to apport in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1599297 Title: One should be able to request the URL for a specific crash report Status in Apport: New Status in apport package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: As I said in Bug #1599295, when one submits a crash report and it for some reason fails to open a browser tab/window with the reporting bit one is unable to find the URL to go to as Apport just silently fails (though does log something to syslog).
