[Touch-packages] [Bug 1716184] Re: failure of xrandr to find any outputs
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. I'm sorry that it took almost five years for someone to acknowledge your comment. Ubuntu 16.04 (xenial) reached end-of-standard-support on April 29, 2021. As this bug report was never confirmed by another user and seems to have been fixed by a change to the system hardware I'm closing this by changing the status to 'Invalid'. ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1716184 Title: failure of xrandr to find any outputs Status in xorg package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: I have a very new Lenovo X1 Yoga 2nd edition, with oled display. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1716184] Re: failure of xrandr to find any outputs
This problem has been RESOLVED. After much hassle, machine was returned to Lenovo for service. They could not find any hardware test that indicated any failures, but after I raised a ruckus they replaced the "system board" and now the problem is gone. I am curious. I wish I knew what really failed... Oh well... I hope that this was a useful post. [Touch-packages] [Bug 1716184] Re: failure of xrandr to find any outputs
I got the bios upgraded, but the problem has not gone away. I hope someone would look into this problem. The machine is usable, but I cannot access any display output except default, as described in the the original bug report. I can demonstrate that the hardware is correctly working by changing the bios setting to boot using the hdmi display, but then the laptop screen does not work and xrandr does not find it.
