Title:
Can't wake up after a long standby

Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I'm on Ubuntu 9.04. When I suspend the computer for a long period (a few
hours). It hangs when I wake it, the screen won't turn on, and I cannot access
it via the netwrok.
The weird thing is that when I suspend it for a short period (few minutes)
there is no problem, I can suspend it and wake it up as much as I like. I'm
using pm-suspend to suspend the computer.

Requested apport data from impacted users - may still be a problem on
12.04 - it would be nice if anyone who saw the issue over 2 years ago
could confirm whether this has been resolved.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command, as it will
automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

apport-collect 412011

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-
bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this
functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.
