I really am sorry this issue went unanswered for so long :( The backlog
we've accrued here is truly unfortunate. We'd really like to see the
situation improve, but with over 3000 open bugs, manually testing each
is almost impossible now. The aim today was to ping these older bugs and
allow anyone still effected to respond and put their bug onto the radar
again.

Well that's one way to resolve a bug:

Accuse the user of not trying hard enough, then wait ten years and close
the bug because the product it was reported on is no longer supported.

Way to go, guys. Let's all give Ubuntu's bug management staff a big
hand.
