[Touch-packages] [Bug 746383] Re: Cannot set Ubuntu Bold in Appearance settings
It’s sad that this report was misfiled (to the wrong package, that is), so it went unnoticed for so long. This is not a bug specific to the Ubuntu fonts. fontconfig does not deal well with multiple weights. It’s already filed in the upstream tracker. ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #81453 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81453 ** Also affects: fontconfig via https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81453 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Package changed: ubuntu-font-family-sources (Ubuntu) = fontconfig (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: fontconfig (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: fontconfig (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Triaged ** Summary changed: - Cannot set Ubuntu Bold in Appearance settings + fontconfig confuses bold and medium weights -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to ubuntu-font-family-sources in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/746383 Title: fontconfig confuses bold and medium weights Status in Fontconfig - Font Configuration Library: Unknown Status in “fontconfig” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Attempts to set Ubuntu Bold in the Appearance settings fall back to Ubuntu Medium.
