I believe that /common is the htdocs directory in the Trac directory
(/usr/lib/pythonX.Y/site-packages/trac/htdocs) and that /site is the
htdocs directory in the project directory.

[Trac] Reports with grouping no longer sort

2008-05-13 Thread Tim Moloney

I just recently upgraded to 0.11rc1 and I noticed that reports that
group tickets are no longer being sorted. This includes the provided
reports (2 - 6 and 8).

I see that ticket #7179 is related to grouping but I'm not sure if this
is the same issue. If so, it looks like #7179 is supposed to be fixed
before the release. If not, let me know and I'll create a new ticket.

Thanks,
  Tim

I don't want to embed my web page in a wiki. I want it to be a stand
alone page.

I was looking for advice on where to put HTML files that are associated
with a Trac project. I currently have a top-level Trac directory with
projects under it. I also have a top-level Subversion directory with
projects under it that mirrors the Trac projects. So I set up a
top-level HTML directory that mirrors the other two for project related
web pages. Now I can upload the web pages there and link to the them
from the Trac projects' wiki pages.

I have it working. I was just looking for other people's experiences so
that maybe I could implement it in a better way. I thought that someone
must have done something like this before and could offer some advice,
tips on things to avoid, etc.

[Trac] Adding web pages to trac project

2007-06-29 Thread Tim Moloney

I am using both Trak and TaskJuggler to manage a project. I'd like to
link to the html status reports generated by TaskJuggler from the
project's Trac wiki pages.

Obviously, I can upload the html reports to a location served by my web
server and add html links in my wiki pages. Is there a way to do this
via Trac (like editing wiki pages, adding attachments, etc.)? Is there
a "best practices" way of doing this?

Thanks,
  Tim

I found the egg tutorial
(http://www.trac-hacks.org/wiki/EggCookingTutorialTrac0.11) and turned
authzgroups into an egg. I can now install it at a global level and
have it work in all of my projects.

/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/Trac-0.11dev-py2.4.egg is the
installation directory when installed from the subversion trunk. /usr/
share/trac doesn't exist on my system (but it would if I installed
Trac via rpm).

Any other thoughts?

I've attached the workflow that we are going to use along with a

I can get the authzgroups plugin to work if I put authzgroups.py in the
project's plugins directory. Is there a single place to put
authzgroups.py so that it is shared by all projects? I tried putting it
in /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages and in
/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/Trac-0.11dev-py2.4.egg/trac/plugins but
neither location worked.

Please make an announcement when TracTags is ready to work with 0.11dev
and I'll test it for you.

If by "task", you mean "ticket"...

I think so, although I haven't done it myself. Look at

[Trac] Do TracTags, TracGantt, MasterTickets, and RepoSearch work with 0.11dev?

2007-06-08 Thread Tim Moloney

We're setting up a new Trac system and we've decided to use 0.11dev so
that we have the following features.
  - custom workflow
  - flexible permission system (we're using AuthzGroups)
  - built-in WebAdmin
  - easier install
However, we're having trouble getting TracTags, TracGantt,
MasterTickets, RepoSearch working with 0.11dev. Is it a well-known
issue that these plugins don't work with 0.11dev? If so, we'll wait
until they catch up with the trunk. If not, we'd like to figure out
what we're doing wrong installing/configuring them. We've been
working with 0.11dev r5605.

TracTags loads (as shown by WebAdmin) and we see a Tags navigator tab
but no "Tag under" text box is available when editing wiki pages.

WebAdmin shows that TracGantt, MasterTickets, and ReposSearch are not
getting loaded.

Any thoughts or tips?

Thanks.

Tim
