Not wanting to nag. Just genuinely interested in whether this thread still
reflects the current state of play. Is Trac 1.02 still blocked on getting
the release process knowledge transferred?

how many time would it take when the long-time Trac developers show you how
to prepare a release? Sometimes I can see them in the t.e.o. timeline
working at tickets although this one is actually a blocker. Sorry for
bugging. ;)

Steffen captured the essence of it. I will say that, that we aren't holding
back just to get another ticket or two finished. It really comes down to
the long-time Trac developers finding time to show us new Trac developers
have to prepare the release. However, everyone on the project volunteers
their time, and they currently have none to commit. Once we get that next
release out finally though, we should be able to have a more regular
release schedule since there will be 5 developers capable of doing the
release rather than just the two that have little time for the project at
the moment.

Good question. There was an argument on doing such a new release few
weeks ago, also to familiarize new developers with release actions.

At least 1.0.2 is more likely to happen in the near future then 1.2 IMHO.

Maybe. But these, who actually resolve tickets, rule.

Next major release, yes.

Pull and engage Trac when ever you like and need it. You'll always get a
working product, and developers work hard to ensure integration with
many Trac plugins as possible and seemless upgrades to any future minor
and major release.

I like that dedication a lot. And you'll appreciate it too. Sorry, but
coding rules. Numbers are just milestone labels. And its ready when its
ready (borrowed from Debian guys).

[Trac] Question about next Trac 1.0.2 release

2014-03-25 Thread anton
Hi,

I have only a small question:

When will Trac 1.02 be available.

I ask because some times ago the
Miletone in the Roadmap showed nearly 100% closed tickets.

But as time passes, always new tickets are added ...
so will there ever be a Trac 1.0.2 ??

Wouldn't it be better to relese 1.0.2 and move the
actual tickets to 1.0.3?

Or is 1.2 the next step?

Thanks

Anton
