[Tracker] tracker dependencies notified on website
It would be friendly to add to the website some pointers, at least to assist sourcing the more-obscure dependencies like libunac and libexempi. Regards Tom ___ tracker-list mailing list tracker-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/tracker-list
[Tracker] rdf queries status?
What's the current state of play for rdf queries on the tracker database? I'm considering constructing some such (pending rollout of the high-level-API). What's the best/easiest way to find database details, to use in such queries? Regards Tom ___ tracker-list mailing list tracker-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/tracker-list
[Tracker] compiler warnings
I just built tracker svn (734, from yesterday) and, among the many compiler-warnings generated, I see a few that really should be investigated and dealt with one way or another: trackerd.c:2349: warning: ignoring return value of 'nice', declared with attribute warn_unused_result trackerd.c:1021: warning: 'list' may be used uninitialized in this function tracker-db-sqlite.c:462: warning: ignoring return value of 'fgets', declared with attribute warn_unused_result tracker-db-sqlite.c:1189: warning: ignoring return value of 'link', declared with attribute warn_unused_result tracker-db-email.c:412: warning: 'mbox_id' may be used uninitialized in this function tracker-dbus-search.c:901: warning: 'winner_dist' may be used uninitialized in this function tracker-utils.c:3441: warning: ignoring return value of 'nice', declared with attribute warn_unused_result tracker-extract.c:212: warning: ignoring return value of 'nice', declared with attribute warn_unused_result tracker-extract-ps.c:101: warning: ignoring return value of 'getline', declared with attribute warn_unused_result tracker-extract-ps.c:139: warning: ignoring return value of 'getline', declared with attribute warn_unused_result tracker-extract-abw.c:35: warning: ignoring return value of 'getline', declared with attribute warn_unused_result tracker-extract-abw.c:62: warning: ignoring return value of 'getline', declared with attribute warn_unused_result tracker-extract-gstreamer.c:233: warning: 'message' is used uninitialized in this function Regards Tom ___ tracker-list mailing list tracker-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/tracker-list

2007/7/30, [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED]: It would be friendly to add to the website some pointers, at least to assist sourcing the more-obscure dependencies like libunac and libexempi. What specific information do you miss? The INSTALL file in the source tarball lists all necessary and optional dependencies. Besides, tracker should be/is available for all major distros, so if you're not so firm in compiling it yourself, just wait until your distro of choice has it. It is normal since trackerd is a per-user daemon. So DBus do not find a running daemon for your user (there root...). Laurent. So this behavious is intended. Just that you mention it --- the INSTALL does not list anything except general information on how to ./configure make make install. Is there a way to specify packages in a distro-independant way, my experience goes only as far as debian/arch/debian/gentoo or so :)?
