Just spotted another issue in tracker-preferences (r692):
I had InitialSleep=45 in tracker.cfg, but t-p resets it to 10 secs. It
seems as if you are not able to select a higher value than 10 secs in
 t-p.

Is this fixed with latext svn since I can't reproduce it?

Thanks, just letting you know that
 modifiying /usr/share/dbus-1/services/tracker.service worked. Strange
that it was not done automatically at compile time.

did you do a make clean?

Nope, not initially. Now I just tested (after restoring the dbus
tracker.service to /usr/bin/trackerd), and after a make clean, it works
properly. Good!

Hi,

Here are my test report from trunk as of last night:

- indexing is faster and lighter than usual!
- as always search results appear surprisingly fast
- I miss the ability to view more hits per page (fx autoscaling when I
resize the window)
- emails all have empty hits in the UI (I get some (null)uid=N strings in
the raw output)
- I get .desktop files in Chat Logs

I compiled with accent removal if it matters...

Cheers,

we should add an option to tracker-prefs for how many hits to show per
page (dunno about autoscalling)

is this imap ones?

have you made sure in Evo to tell imap to store emails locally?

If above is yes can you get me the url string for the imap account in
gconf?

  - I get .desktop files in Chat Logs

I cannot replicate this - apps appear in apps and chat logs in chat
logs. Anyone else get these problems?

I don't get applications in there. Just regular .desktop files, viewed as

I am updating all the manpages - including one for tracker.cfg.

I'm sending a patch as soon as it seems complete (for comments ;)).

I have tested trunk on my solaris x86 box.
the greatest thing for me is that I can get meta data for evolution mail
in TST, which is great.

and another thing is that even I didnot download all mails to my local,
I still can index them, search them, and open them.
wonderful.

how weird - I suggest a clean build (delete all existing tracker stuff
