Do don't forget to thank all the nice coders. And don't stop suggesting good applications for Decathlon. But think high impact and multiplier effect. Also, don't give up on the major software projects. Firstly, they are gradually recognizing the advantages of Pootle, and secondly, they have their own strengths. GNOME, for example, has a very enthusiastic and quality-conscious i18n project, which does an impressive job of complex programs like the GIMP (a.k.a. the world's worst example of context in translation). I haven't had time recently to continue my effort to promote the use of Pootle at GNOME, but I hope to get back to that soon. The GNOME i18n Project is quick to implement advances (e.g. its excellent Damned Lies stats pages), so they pay attention to what's available. The more of us who speak up about our use of Pootle on the gnome-i18n list, the more other translators become interested.
