Sorry, my fault. I used [sudo cd] so it said no such command. Then I didn't do a proper search. Those were the problems. I know that many programs are coded in python in Ubuntu, so that should be the case in Trisquel as well. Therefore it cannot exist since my system is/seems OK. I just thought that it may be in another folder. Now that I found it easily using tab completion feature thanks to lembas everything’s good. Thank you, people.

Hello, when i install trisquel 6.0.1 and it sees there are other systems like win7 (for gaming only), then it installs the grub for more then one system... but after rebooting none of them is actually able to boot!

Freevial only includes questions that are supposedly in Catalan. I actually have a WIP set of English Freevial questions here: https://github.com/onpon4/freevial-questions I don't remember if Freevial has some kind of tool for editing questions (I don't think it does), but I just edited the XML files directly. If anyone wants to add more questions, I'll be happy to pull them.

Firstly, does GRUB start when you boot into your computer? 2. If so, does it show all your operating systems in the list (Windows 7 and Trisquel)? 3. Thanks, I must admit when I did the research on this one I didn't read absolutely everything to see if it was new, but I couldn't find any record of these admin logins being known. There're other outstanding security problems with this particular model and many users will have a worse similar exposure from leaving the completely daft default userid/password unchanged. So with the rep of these things I thought it would be worth blogging what happens when you contact the manufacturer's designated service agent (the ISP in this case) telling them which lines in the GPL source bundle need deleting. So far as per their reputation would be the summary. Of course no sensibile person trusts the zone their telco CPE is in in the first place. Accordingly I already had a replacement, which with there being no libre ADSL2+ is the only ADSL2+ device compatible with blobby WRT distros. The first of which has proven unreliable in use as its a very long running beta (but that's very different from insecure).

I've got the patch in the folder where it belongs, but I can't seem to figure out how to apply it. Can somebody point me in the direction of an appropriate tutorial? It's not a crisis, just a hole in my education. Sudo apt-get upgrade seems to give me everything except the new kernel which my old laptop can't use, while sudo apt-get dist-upgrade gives me the new kernel for my newer desktop.

Hello thank you both for your replies. After taking a look, I think Performous is a good choice. Now I have only seen the songs that are available on the website. Is there any well known website where one can download some more popular songs to use with it? Or should regular midi files be OK to use with karaoke games like Performous? Thanks for helping!

I finally managed to fix this as well using Synaptic, but it was tricky. I had to try to install libcairo2-dev, get an error message. Then I clicked Mark all upgrades which included DOWNGRADING libcairo2. After that I was able to install libcairo2-dev and libgtk2.0-dev Thank goodness! Because I couldn't compile many apps without GTK 2.0

After doing a little reading, it would appear that Netgear, D-link, and Cisco have some sort of backdoor. [Trisquel-users] Can't Connect to VPN?
I successfully configured the VPN options and imported the configuration files but when I try to connect from the GUI it says connection failed because of invalid VPN secrets I've searched for a solution for this but haven't really come up with much that's helpful. I think it's because I don't have root access. In the terminal if I try the connection without giving myself root access openvpn fails. But if I try it after giving myself root access I can connect from the command line with: openvpn --config filename Just not sure how to make this work with the GUI VPN tool...any thoughts?
