[Trisquel-users] can you get i2p on raspberry pi and use computer to access?
Can you install i2p on a raspberry pi acting like a server? Can you access i2p on a raspberry pi securely from a computer? Both raspberry pi and your computer connected to your home router. Can you access ip2 from the internet? Comments on i2p?
[Trisquel-users] Antwort: Brother DCP-7055 printer
Thank you for that amazing video! I will try it at home. One more question: Should my printer be plugged in during the installing?

You're full of it.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Software to watch tv on system
I used TV-MAXE to stream Brazil 2014, being that I got rid of the stupid TV - I don't have one since 2010. https://code.google.com/p/tv-maxe/ There are several default channels, mostly in romanian (the developer is from Romania). You can easily save the addresses of whatever channels you manage to find on the net. The problem is that these channels are not easy to find and change addresses very often :( Here a link to get you started: http://www.tvonlinestreams.com/
Re: [Trisquel-users] occupygpl.org wants to make copyleft licenses go away
Strange, now that webpage redirects to Github's choosealicense.com.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Tweaks to optimize user friendliness
well... my better half wasn't to happy with the laptop... It apparently had nothing to do with gnome but simply that it was to small and light! So I gave her a older asus laptop... Pentium M 2GHz single core, 1GB of ram. Nice 1650*10?? 4/3 monitor... I set it up to run LXDE + claws mail, and everything is insanely fast... she is using leafpad as text editor! and she is finally happy with her GNU/linux install... I am now setting up another laptop with LXDE for her co-worker :)
Re: [Trisquel-users] occupygpl.org wants to make copyleft licenses go away
Microsoft is releasing the code under the MIT license, which is about as permissive as it gets. Some examples: https://github.com/dotnet/core/blob/master/LICENSE https://github.com/dotnet/corefx/blob/master/LICENSE And this one is Apache 2.0: https://github.com/dotnet/roslyn/blob/master/License.txt

[Trisquel-users] Monobenzone Benoquin Provding Permanent Results for Vitiligo
Monobenzone is a well-known organic chemical obtained from the phenol family and is utilized as a topical drug for those who have de-pigmented skin. Benoquin is prescribed by doctors to individuals who are lacking melanocyte producing cells and have irregular patches of skin known as Vitiligo. This is a skin condition that affects around 1 percent of the entire population and is usually more noticeable on those who have darker colored skin. It can prove to be quite embarrassing for many and may even lead to lack of self-confidence as it appears on the face, lips, legs, genitals and arms. For people who are suffering from this condition, there is no need to worry any longer because Monobenzone is completely safe to use and the best thing about it is that after a few months of application the results become permanent. You can obtain more information regarding Benoquin at http://benoquin.info/.

Re: [Trisquel-users] Tweaks to optimize user friendliness
Here you go Jade, this is a config for JWM designed to imitate a Crunchbang dark theme with single desktop. It was modified from a config posted on a Crunchbang forum. Feel free to copy paste and enjoy! For me, JWM is usually around 1mb on up to 5mb depending on how much I add to startup commands. I have two or three other files as well, one has a red outline for active window, another blue etc... With proper setup JWM would be an ideal option for mini version, perhaps mini-ultralight. I can post a tint2 config for Openbox if you are interested. mate-terminal gmrun /etc/jwm/debian-menu xscreensaver-command -activate mate-screenshot root:1 showdesktop terminus-10:bold 4 20 #c0c0c0 #404040 #404040 #404040 #c0c0c0 #202020 #202020 #202020 terminus-10:normal #c0c0c0 #404040 #c0c0c0 #202020 terminus-10:normal #c0c0c0 black terminus-10:normal #c0c0c0 #202020 #c0c0c0 #404040 liberation.sans-10:weight=bold #3c3c3c white #3c3c3c $HOME/.icons nitrogen --restore 400 2 click border opaque opaque up down right left left down up right select escape nextstacked close desktop# root:1 window exec:aterm -fn terminus-12 -fg black -bg white -sb exec:aterm -fn 6x9 -e alsamixer conky -c ~/.conky/Orange/conkyrc_orange conky -c ~/.conky/moc/conkyrc_obmoc mate-volume-control-applet nm-applet mate-screensaver
Re: [Trisquel-users] Brother DCP-7055 printer
I think you need to configure the printer. I guess that after 'make install' what you have is the driver installed in the system... meaning the drivers are sitting there waiting for something... that something is configure the printer. what does hinzufögen mean? It is basically the same as Legimet said in post #20 :) Now I haven't installed a printer in like... 15 years in linux, ahh yes, that was in redhat, and a postscipt printer, with 2mb font add in card, those where the days... damn time is flying.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Tweaks to optimize user friendliness
hmm, why did the format not remain, when posted?
Re: [Trisquel-users] Tweaks to optimize user friendliness
Repeated whitespace in HTML is ignored by default.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Tweaks to optimize user friendliness
if you want something more office like than leafpad Abiword is a good light-weight libre program: http://www.abisource.com/screenshots/
Re: [Trisquel-users] occupygpl.org wants to make copyleft licenses go away
yes it gives power to everyone and not one person or one company the GPL is simply put your free to do whatever you want with this program but on condition you do the same for everyone else that’s what copyleft is it makes sure its always free/libre
Re: [Trisquel-users] Brother DCP-7055 printer
Now I haven't installed a printer in like... 15 years in linux i am assuming you mean gnu/linux

Re: [Trisquel-users] occupygpl.org wants to make copyleft licenses go away
On a slightly positive note about the site (credit where it's due, they say?), it looks way better than FSF's in my opinion!
Re: [Trisquel-users] occupygpl.org wants to make copyleft licenses go away
Makes you wonder if it was created by a GitHub employee or now just redirects for a joke. The layout of the site did look like they put some effort into it though.
[Trisquel-users] Re : Tweaks to optimize user friendliness
I set it up to run LXDE + claws mail, and everything is insanely fast... Did you install Trisquel Mini 7 as a base? If not, why not? Trisquel Mini comes with the LXDE desktop, the Leafpad text editor, Abiword (that tomlukeywood recommended), the Midori Web browser, the Pidgin instant messenger, the Evince document reader, the mplayer movie player, all common codecs, etc. For e-mails, Sylpheed is installed by default. If you prefer Claws, it is about three clicks away in the Synaptic package manager (also installed by default).
Re: [Trisquel-users] Eric S. Raymond Calls LLVM The Superior Compiler To GCC and defending GCC is futile
Raymond is full of crap, he's the one that said that we shouldn't use the term free software, not because the ideals are wrong but because it isn't selling much because people and companies do not like to talk about ethics. For me, that's like saying that we shouldn't tell people to not kill because it's immoral but because they will probably go to jail if they do that. Well, guess what, when they really want to kill someone, they will just try as hard as they can to not get caught. And the same thing happens with free software, they will move to a proprietary alternative if that program is more powerful.
Re: [Trisquel-users] Who of you uses Posteo?
I also have my openmailbox account in Icedove :D Yeah it seems Openmailbox's site indeed is using nonfree scripting because it isn't compatible with Icecat's LibreJS.
Re: [Trisquel-users] RMS:There's A Systematic Effort To Attack GNU Packages:
I think this is an excellent question to ask! The answer being they only dislike GPL but love their proprietary EULAs. People who have a problem with copyleft are those who'd like to use GPL'd stuff to build their proprietary crud with.
[Trisquel-users] Software to watch tv on system
Hi, Which TV Software I can install on trisquel to watch tv on my system through Internet. which can also sport satellite TV channels also.
Re: [Trisquel-users] RMS:There's A Systematic Effort To Attack GNU Packages:
Everything can be very accurately resumed on RMS's quote There's a systematic effort to attack GNU packages he always put a lot of thought in picking his words before point at something specific, that creates a serious potencial danger, like in these case. And what he says in here is a fact that no one can deny (except for those that seems to have short memory ) one of the most recent similar issues that comes to mind is Microsoft/Novell and their MONO bullshit, that was, and still is, a serious treat for the GPL itself. From my point of view, seems that Apple has been tacking notes, and their move further now at attacking with LLVM at one critical essential part of the GNU system like it is GCC. And same as MONO, it might not seem dangerous by itself, but are the interests of the big corporations behind it what makes it dangerous enough to consider it an treat/attack. So it's indeed a very obvious systematic effort on atacking GNU packages and the GPL, they are always trying to filter their crap to attack from inside, it isn't the first time and wont be the last one.
Re: [Trisquel-users] occupygpl.org wants to make copyleft licenses go away
Free Software permits people to do what ever they want with their software right?
Re: [Trisquel-users] very good documentary
A film approaching the level of craftsmanship and using the same connect-the-dots sleight of hand logic of the 9-11 Truther film Loose Change. Or in a word garbage - with even worse graphics and editing. Quite a feat. A one hour lecture by Noam Chomsky would cover the same concerns about power and control but convincingly and with gravitas.
