Yes, and I had the same experience on a friend's computer running
Firefox 64, so assuming we are talking about the same thing I think the
issue is upstream.

Do you have any privacy-enhancing addons that could be blocking the
reCAPTCHA? What other webpage components are being blocked?

[Trisquel-users] Abrowser update issues

2019-02-02 Thread chelmuth1
I have noticed after updating to the latest version several problems.
Hang/freeze during downloads (caused by massive CPU usage spike, apparently)
and unexplained blocking of webpage components such as google's captcha
system. I also see that the privacy settings page has disappeared, but that's
already been mentioned in another topic. Shame, that.
Anyone have ideas on these issues? Going to switch over to icecat in the mean
time.

It is an old browser though isn't it?

its not too hard, unless your using full disk encryption with a non debian
based system.

:)

Like Hyperbola/Parabola. I could help you probably walk you through it once
if you wanted. Want me to pm you my email?

Done, thanks.

[Trisquel-users] CUPS permissions (after install rescue)

2019-02-02 Thread jimgarrett
I had an install go awry but with this community's help managed to get it
back on the rails, as described in this thread:

https://trisquel.info/en/forum/issue-grub-and-existing-home-partition-installing-trisquel-mini

Now I'm doing some cleanup and one issue I have is that I can't add a
printer. Using "Printers" GUI utility (I'm using XFCE but that's probably
irrelevant), when I click "Add" I get the usual CUPS window but a dialog box
asking for my user name and password also appears. I enter my user name and
password but it's not accepted.

While I'm at it, are there other permissions or cleanup activities I should
check into?

Thanks in advance!
