It looks like /usr/lib/abrowser/libnss3.so is corrupted. I would check the health of your disk (its SMART data), e.g., from GNOME Disks (provided by the "gnome-disk-utility" package, in Trisquel's repository). That file is provided by the "libnss3" package (a dependence of Abrowser, but not only). You can reinstall it.

Apparently not. Can't see any success with either 'tor-browser' or 'start-tor-browser' (in a terminal).

Tor Browser can be registered (this will add an entry in the menu) by running this command in the Tor Browser Bundle directory. ./start-tor-browser.desktop --register-app
